the manager sounds like a right git not allowing the OP to come back the week after to collect the glasses.
Is it then fair that others who want the glasses to miss out because they have to put aside glasses for people with receipts, if we all decided to ask the manager to put away glasses for later collection thousands will miss out on the offer. If the OP wants the glasses then they are on ebay:

Im sorry if its harsh but everyone knows that these glasses are limited edition i myself missed out on them last time when they did that bar style glass. Its not rudeness CR but a lot of people will be in the same boat as you but if you go on a Sunday after the Saturday rush then there is always a potential for a branch to run out of stock entirely especially with the nippers off for summer hols. Which branch in wales was it?

i cant beleive a company that size hasnt got any decent stock management in place.. especially for basic food (ran out of sauasages !!!!!!!)

Why do you just assume everything? That is more than likely to have been short devlieries.
  • For all those angry at Mcdonalds.

Can you imagine if a spotty university graduate working behind the Mccounter in Mcdonalds tells you that 'sorry, there arent any Mccoke limited edition Mcglasses left'. Would you react by getting very angry by taking out all the Mcstraws and throwing them onto floor or would you squirt all the Mcketchup out of the Mcdispensor.......

What if the the Mcstaff member picked up a spare glass and GLASSED you for being a sad lonely pathetic fat E number eating sweaty blue collar working cat loving bug eyed mouth frothing consumer junkie that you are!

    And what if that

I thought that I was the only person in the world who drank coke from a glass. I saw some coke glasses advertised on TV the other night. I don't know if it was McDonalds or not. I thought that they looked very naff. May be it is just me, I am not a lover of coloured glasses anyway. It is a bit annoying when you cannot get what has been advertised. I was in Wetherspoons the other day and they did not have any coffee loyalty cards in stock.

i meant to say they are bating people with idea of getting a free gift if they buy large(r) meal..

but if therre is none left, ALL promo material should be removed, or maybe even a sign sayng 'no glasses left' put up?

it would take seconds to do.. and may even earn them an extra star..
no the disclaimer says 'while stocks last' if u wanna ignore it, hey thats not their problem.

if u that DESPERATE for a glass, ask before ordering.

All this over a coke glass,
  • well, what a kerfuffle!! to be fair i went and bought a large meal the other day after i got a glass last week with my meal, mainly because i have 2 children and they would have both liked a glass, after i'd gone through the drive thru i realised that they hadn't given me the glass! not a major drama but i was a bit miffed!! it is a bit shocking that the manager wouldn't let you have the glasses at a later date, even if the disclaimer did state "whilst stocks last" it would have just been a nice gesture.
