Yeah, what you actually need to do is order the food, pay for it, eat it, then jump in a time machine to before the payment and refuse to pay because the glasses aren't there.
OR, you could go and BUY a glass.

I asked for a receipt so that I could collect them when new stock arrived. The manager was fetched and he told me this was not possible. I would have to return and buy more meals. I think this is unfair and contacted Mcdonalds customer services. Their get-out clause is the phrase 'while stocks last'. the moral is, visit on a Wednesday or as near as possible, [or check store stock delivery day], for best chance of promotion goods. I changed my order to regular!
Im sorry but you have to realize its a popular promotion what exactly do you expect? Thats the whole reason they are limited edition the moral of the story is ask before ordering not to get dissapointed its no reason to get this het up over :rolleyes:0 -

yeah but they were getting more in the week after, the manager could have given them then if he really cared about his customers.0 -

Then go back next week if CR really wants one, they cannot reserve them for people due to the high volume of trade its not fair on others the OP should have asked simple as. Its always first come first served people should know that especially with such a popular promotion you cannot put the blame solely on McDonalds.0 -
OP

I agree, I think you probably need to sort your priorities out if some free coke glasses cause you so much upset!0

i refrained from replying to this one, but yea, some rethinking of priorities are in order.helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
Mmm! I'm salivating at the thought of a limp, tasteless, dry patty sandwiched between two ceiling tiles.
The fries are OK though.
I still take the monsters in there once a month for a treat and half the time they've run out of the girls toys in the Happy Meals. Should I demand compensation or forget about it because I throw the toys away anyway once we get home? The man without a signature.0 -
I had the coke glasses last time they were given out and every single one has smashed! I'm not heavy handed OR clumsy (lol) They're just the cheapest tat I've had the misfortune to have. I'd rather pay less than a quid (or maybe two) for 4 Asda's own hi ball glasses!0

I agree with Chrissaro. It's the principle - if Mcdonalds are running a promotion and are offering an incentive to bring in more customer then they should deliver on that promotion!
Chrissaro had every right to take the matter up with CS and shame on them for their poor response. As they are a large corporation they clearly think that they can now get away with Bad Customer Service.
Think it's unfair that other members on the forum have said that "you should reassess your priorities". We all get excited about different offers and freebies. This just happens to be one that Chrissaro was particularly interested in.
I'd be interested to know what offers or freebies angelaharding85 has been particularly fervent about; could it be that I may not feel the same enthusiasm for them???0
