Hi couponmania, on the subject of coupons is it true that Tesco nationwide now not accepting Haagen Dazzs & Betty Crocker coupons? I bought them on ebay some time ago and now I cant offload it at my tesco.

these coupons are blocked at the tills at request of the suppliers as they will not get paid - these coupons are fakes and have not been issued by the suppliers however they did at one point go through the till as the barcode had been copied from another coupon. Not sure about the accuracy of that but that is what i have been told.

Well when the new policy starts you will be shocked LOL, I heard rumours from area management that a new policy is on the way, Training isn't an issue, the issue is customers like you thinking you know Tesco better than the staff

he he! I had a very patronising SA today. Having already rang the store to see if they accept MOC without buying the product and being told yes by customer services, this 'knowledgable' SA proceeded to tell me that customer services didnt know what they were talking about:rolleyes: ( gosh, how professional was that:p ) that Customer service had infact informed me wrong ( her exact words), that she knew the policy like the back of her hand:rolleyes: and that unfortunately unless I bought the items she could only accept one coupon for the whole of my shopping ( I was only giving her 4 anyway:cool: ) and then she proceeded to only scan one MOC which was the one with the smallest monetary value of 25p!

I am never rude and am never bothered if certain stores dont accept coupons as I see it that they are doing me a favour by accepting them and that I am lucky to get anything, but this SA today was rude, patronising and down right un-professional - MORE TRAINING FOR SA DEFINATELY IMO!!!!!!;)

SA: You haven't bought the product
    MM: You don't have to!

SA : This coupon won't scan
MM: Type it in then stoopid!

SA: We don't stock that product
MM: You mean the one displayed at the front of the store?

SA: I'll just get hold of the supervisor
MM: Oh no! Not the one with the blue rinse again

SA: I know the coupon policy
    MM: No you don't

Now this is coupon abuse, please don't cry when they ban you for it.

Best post in the thread, It is so true, so you can't quote policy as descretion is of the manager, I am so glad I don't work there anymore, having to refuse a customer with at least 200 coupons.

They will be soon don't worry :)

Serious coupon abuse, Do not moan when they ban you aswell :)

Actually d.edna on Sunday the SA took 3 of them from me no problems at all, as she said they were all in date and valid coupons so the actual day did not matter....I bought 3 NOTW's with them. You seem a little bitter...have you been banned?

The people abuse the system, are rude, cocky, arrogant, think they are better, Plus people hate it when they get caught commiting coupon abuse.

Whats going to happen when tesco and other retailers stop taking your coupons? Because it's going to happen.

Commiting coupon abuse? Is it punishable by law or does it mean I can just choose to take my custom elsewhere

If people use coupons that are in date and valid what`s the problem,I use as many as I can and find it very helpful, tesco get ther monet back, I have a treat the only ones who don`t like it are the ones that can`t use them or the sa who don`t want the bother of putting them through, some assistants have asked where to get them from as they want some for themselves
