Seen on ebay people selling £5 eukanuba dog food internet vouchers, Anyone know where this can be printed off from as £5 moc would come in really handy right now?

I've seen it listed in the forum somewhere but DO NOT use it in Tescos as they do not stock the product.

Whilst some larger Tesco stores do stock Eukanuba they get it from a grey market supplier (i.e. not from Eukanuba). Therefore Tesco cannot redeem these mocs, so they are not to be tried there. They have blocked them anyway by now I hope (certainly there have been reports of people seeing a 'banned list' of coupons and these are on it along with the Betty Crocker and Haagen Dasz coupons that have also been too prolific on ebay to be believed).

TBH I wouldn't buy the Eukanuba mocs for use anywhere as I think they may have been altered as to the expiry date. The original email had a moc with an expiry of 31.10.08. Strangely the ones on ebay have an expiry of 31.10.09. Something fishy about that eh?

Forget them and forget the BC and HD ones as well if you have seen them for sale.

If there are huge amounts of a high-value moc constantly available on ebay (as has been the case with these 3) then sooner or later the manufacturer or Tesco will get p'd off enough about them to take action. That is what has happened here.

Many thanks for your interesting reply couponmania. :T

You are right, I am in a different area to you and my local stores have had few problems except one store had a problem with internet prints where too many people were using the same ones. Apart from that things have been fine for months except if I go to an old bag SA by mistake.

It happened today funnily enough, I joined the queue where the SA is a nice young girl who likes to see how much I save, then she came off duty and was replaced by a stony faced woman who huffed & puffed but said nothing. Her silence spoke volumes though and I would have felt bad if I wasn't an experienced couponer and knew I wasn't doing anything wrong.

A few weeks ago I went to known grouchy old coupon-hater deliberately just to see if she could remain polite when I paid just £9 in coupons. I had waited for weeks to be in the right calm mood to face her wrath! She scowled at me and when I ignored that she said 'I don't have a problem with this but you're not paying for your shopping are you?' When I didn't rise to that bait she scanned the mocs randomly and wrongly, then handed me some back even though I had counted the value beforehand and knew it was about spot-on.

I tried telling her that her till would be short and offering her the coupons back but she barked back that her till would NOT be short and did I work for Tesco? I said no I am glad I don't if you are an example of an employee, and walked away. I KNEW her till would be short but I had tried to tell her!

And yes I do go in every day and do get my shopping for a pound or less - but only do one transaction and one lot of coupons (no duplicates, no out of date mocs, no DM book tokens or Eukanuba mocs and no Sainsburys/Somerfield wrong 'uns).

BTW, the week that coupons exceeded cash, was it when a Tesco Clubcard mailing had arrived? The other week, or Feb/May/August? That would explain a lot more mocs through the till, especially if it was recently and some ill-informed customers had saved them up all year with that daft Christmas Club! TBH Tesco vouchers are a different ball game entirely and not really comparable with moc use are they?

Thanks again for your interesting input as a cash office employee, do you mind sticking around so we can pick your brains?! What's your understanding of what has happened with Eukanuba, Haagen Dazs and Betty Crocker mocs which were so prolific on ebay - were they fakes?

    Thanks.

    The same value.

They are better used on Tesco deals if there are any you fancy.

We can spot a fradulant couponnet one a mile off - we even have a template which we match the size of the coupon up against - and often if you look closely you can see the shading that is only given on a photocopier and not a black and white printer.

With regards to taking more coupons than cash your store must be one of the ones where there isnt much of a major problem. In this area there is and as a result all Tesco Extra stores within Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire have adopted a policy whereby they will take only 5 coupons per customer per day and will only take food coupons for food purchases and non food coupons for related non food items (ie - mitchum coupons can only be used against toiletries)

When I say taking more money on coupons than cash this does not include payment by debit or credit card which accounts for over 70 percent of our takings. The other 30 percent is made up of cash and coupons of which a year ago coupons accounted for less than 1%. The highest value I have seen for coupons in one day was 12 percent with cash at 9% and 79% card. We also reached a point where one in three transactions had tendered a coupon of a cash value of some kind.

You also have to bear in mind there was a lot of abuse going on - we had one family coming in three times a day, mother, father and teenage son with handfuls of coupons each. It finally came to a head when the mother complained that a cashier wouldnt let her put her shopping through on three seperate transactions. She claimed she needed three seperate reciepts but soon kicked up a fuss when we told her she couldnt use more than one of each coupon accross all three transactions!

I have seen more people go through our tills with three bags of shopping and paying less than a pound for the lot because they have handed in £15+ worth of coupons - these are the people that come in every day without fail and therefore never pay for any of their shopping!
I think I have been to your shop and waited in line behind the shoppers you mention and do not feel it is my place to comment on their shopping habits but I am interested in your input as I shop once a week with a relative - we share the same trolley but both have our own clubcards and buy our own shopping and use 3/4/5 coupons each
Do you see that as abuse?or doing something wrong?
I have not shopped with T for a while now as my relative has been too ill to bring me shopping so I have had to rely on a friend who goes to Asda but would like your input for when I do return to your store - or not as the case may be as there are many supermarkets in this area and even Aldi soon and by all accounts that will prove cheaper than T even with the odd coupon

Has anyone noticed that the bodyform voucher on the updated printable coupons thread now states at the top right hand corner the use by date of 30.11.09 when in fact at the bottom it states 30.11.08
I do not know how to report this as a newbie but perhaps someone can do this for me please Thanks

It's the older ones who need training more - both in the MOC policy and in customer service with a smile! Some of them are such old trouts that's why we avoid them, not because we are doing anything outside of Tesco's own policy.

Well when the new policy starts you will be shocked LOL, I heard rumours from area management that a new policy is on the way, Training isn't an issue, the issue is customers like you thinking you know Tesco better than the staff

I use them with no problems at all, but I do use the relevant day when presenting to the SA, but use any day( as long as not they have not expired) if using the self-scan.

Now this is coupon abuse, please don't cry when they ban you for it.

As for the sheet with the policy on this would just get laughed at and would encourage any manager to refuse you use of coupons if you try to tell them that they are in the wrong - the policy has always stated that the acceptance of coupons for items not purchased is always at the final discretion of the manager

Best post in the thread, It is so true, so you can't quote policy as descretion is of the manager, I am so glad I don't work there anymore, having to refuse a customer with at least 200 coupons.

Thanks. :) It was a Tesco supervisor that told me I had to buy the product to get the voucher off and that it was a new policy come in, so I was wondering whether they were following Asdas lead.

They will be soon don't worry :)

Go for it before the weekend is out, even a bad SA should know that these are indeed OK - they are more likely to take these than other mocs IMHO.

BTW they will still scan even if you don't spend the minimum, and before or after the dates stated, so don't bin any of them. ;)
Serious coupon abuse, Do not moan when they ban you aswell :)

I live on the Notts/Derby border and regularly shop in different T's when travelling with work - it varies widely across the 2 counties and across different staff members.

Clowne store for instance won't accept any coupons unless you've bought the product and this seems to be pretty much whichever SA you get. As for Chesterfield, it changes weekly, if not daily!

One week, it'll be none, the next it'll be 10%, the next it'll be one, then it'll be you have to buy the product, then it's any as long as they're not off the internet and then sometimes if you're lucky the kids take the whole lot! I think they've changed their minds so often in that store that none of the staff have a clue any more, poor things!

I do go to one Extra store who'll take all of mine always in Derbyshire, but I'm not publishing it on here - otherwise they'll be told off no doubt!!

Folks, the sun is shining - make hay! It'll soon be like the R&R where they had to put a stop to it. I don't abuse it by photocopying coupons or buying them off Ebay, but plenty do and there's nothing we say on here that will make people change their habits, so just enjoy it while it lasts, as it may not be for much longer.

I think I know which store u r talking about. As a matter of fact, the smaller store ie : Extra - there r 2 sets of rules ( 1 set for customer & 1 set for staff), like yesterday one of their staff was paying her own groceries & guess how much she spent £130 but only paid £7.00! disgusting isn't it!
Staff get a book of coupons

My advice would simply be take seperate baskets - then no one will make false accusations. Staff are so jumpy around coupons its unreal because it is becoming such a problem and the managers do not know what to do about it
