D.edna,
Is your middle name Troll by any chance? What I cant understand is that you have left tesco and are still bothered this much by people using coupons in a company you dont even work for! Why so loyal?
My local store is very friendly, I coupon to the max there nearly every day and have done since June 2007 when the policy changed and make no apology for that. I play by the rules set down for me and accept it if a coupon is refused even if I know it should be allowed. I managed to educate the store till supervisors of the new policy and they thanked me for it, I still give them a smile when paying.
D.edna, you are acting like all Tesco employees are holier than holy and in certain stores this is not the case. Ive seen SAs cover the barcodes of coupons with their fingers and then hand them back for not scanning or not pressing the total button first. And Ive heard all the possible lies going.
It also gets me when I have been legitimately overcharged for an item, if its under £5 I usually get DtD no worries but if its anything over that then I only get given the difference and when I query it with the blue board I get "oh what blue board?, oh that one, sorry thats a new policy, only just came in this week" and its goes on.
I know I have also spoken to the store via saynoto0870 and the 08 number as ive spoken to the manager on a couple of issues, the line will be routed through Dundee but does go to the store,so that point you made is pure fiction!
I have paid pence for my shopping for nearly 18 months now. It will come to an end soon, I have no doubt, each month is a bonus, when the policy changed back in June 2007 I thought it wouldnt last more than a month at the most.
The recent issue with Haagen Daz,Betty Crocker and Eukanuba may be a nail in the coffin but this but that will be due to people either stealing them or making fakes to sell, not couponers walking through the door of tesco spending them.
The market for selling coupons on ebay is only there because of tescos policy. Tesco commit fraud every time they accept a coupon for a different product but they view themselves bigger than most suppliers so will just reduce the promotional space available to a supplier if they kick up too much of a fuss.
As for not being able to use coupons on the trains, I used a £10 coupon about 3 months ago for an £11 fare so deal with it! Coupons are a fact of life especially at the moment especially with a lot of families using them to feed their families in these doom and gloom times.....*takes breath and gets off soapbox*....0 -

Well said the lurch. I haven't been on this thread much in the last few weeks as my Tesco currently are not taking any coupons unless you buy the product. Last time I was here it was a happy thread with lots of nice friendly people:D
I come back tonight for a catch up and find that this friendly thread has been hijacked by someone with a seriously bad attitude who seems to get a kick out of annoying the regulars.
D.edna if you can't be nice to people then it's better not to say anything!:j Debt free since 31/01/08:j

I've become a train driver now
This is supposed to be a friendly site, you have a serious attitude problem, maybe you should dedicate more time to getting it rectified rather than spend so much time on here abusing members.
There’s plenty of websites out there for controversyClick here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -

Congrats on using your coupon in Waitrose. If you get to use another one I wouldn't worry about filling in your details. You're very unlikely to get a call from the coupon police.
Having said that please don't try to use a Daily Mail MOC in Tesco as they are unable to reclaim the money back from the supplier and on this thread we are all dead against it. We want to keep the coupon policy going as long as possible for the benefit of all.

Thanks for your help MM & your advise about NOT using the daily mail MOC in Tesco0 -
