    Xmas Saver!
    Hi,

I'm fairly knew to all this and I was just wondering if anyone knows whether or not I can use the printed coupons through the self scan checkouts? I wasn't sure if they would scan okay or not.

Yes, you can use the printed coupons through self scan, thou the downside is, the tills are preset to take a %/set amount, then a member of staff has to come across and input the vouchers manually.
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • I have found a way to print unlimited amounts of coupons and to save them as image files. I will not be releasing the solution until later this week when I have taken advice on whether this is illegal or not.

Boots today refused to accept Mitchum coupons.

My local Tesco say only one coupon per shop. But i have yet to try them, its just what their staff have just been told.

What a crazy mess these so-called big stores are in with coupon policy.

Many people have tried this, and failled, but there is always a way round things.

My way is just to keep borrowing other peoples computers :D

Thanks I didn't know that. Do you know how many they are programmed to take? I think I have only used three before at any one time. The downside I find with using the self scans is that it takes forever as when i drop the coupon in the box it never seems to drop to the bottom and I have to spend two minutes poking each one with my visa card to make it hit the bottom. I must look like a right nutter!

I know our local store was preset at 6 vouchers, whether that was a £5.00 or £100 shop.
I know what you mean re dropping them, I've blown down them, poked a leaflet, Im sure some of the customers behind me must of thought Id escaped from the local loony bin. x

  • dragonspike,

Will this not mean all your coupons will have the same id number on them. My local store is already having couponnet coupons sent back from the clearing house unpaid as they have been duplicated.

The upshot of this is that Tesco could stop taking couponnet coupons altogether if they are not getting their money back.
