further to my post here about my coupons being refused in Tesco's .I have now been informed to send the coupons in to customer services with my till reciept and they will reimburse me whilst they continue to look into the reason the store refused to accept them.
So from now on I will use coupons and if they are refused , even after I have shown my email saying they should be accepted ,I will get the name of the supervisor who refused them and write in for a refund .
I suggest if you have an email saying they will be accepted then to phone and ask for the person who sent it saying you have been refused and let them sort it out .Wish I could stop editing EVERY post I make :mad:0 -
Ok - so I shopped in Tesco for last few weeks and handed over approx £5 of coupons each time for around £70 spend - not trying to be too greedy and I have actually bought some of the products. Great - no problems.
Today I handed over usual mix of coupons, usual amount - oh says the checkout girl - these are photocopies - err , don't think so say I - I printed them off the internet. She called the supervisor who looked at the coupons and decided that they would accept anything up to a pound but only one of each - and anything over a pound they would only accept if I bought the item. I told her several times that I had used vouchers many times before without any problems but she looked as if she didn't believe me. I decided not to make too much of a fuss to avoid getting labelled a 'coupon cheat' and meekly accepted her decision - still got £3.85 off my shopping and the 5p off fuel thingy so considered I had done well. I think I will leave it a couple of weeks before trying again - in fact have already booked a home delivery next week (and used TDXR-LPEM to get a 1000 extra points by the way). My coupons are black and white - do other people usually print colour ??0 -
I have just returned from a Waitrose shopping trip very disappointed. Their policy over the last few weeks has been to accept as many coupons as you have so long as there were no more than 2 of each one. Today I was informed that due to "abuse of the system" they are only now accepting a maximum of 6 coupons!
I will just have to return to Tesco, because so far they seem to take any amount so long as there are no duplicates.0 -
....My coupons are black and white - do other people usually print colour ??
Yes, I always print them in colour which I am sure helps a lot as I don't get queries about them very often at all, except from newbie SAs.
Some people also use glossier paper so they look less home-made, but I don't do this myself. But I do sometimes print them so some of the 'blurb' is on the back of the coupon so they are not blank at the back.
For instance, if you are printing a Couponnet MOC and it lets you print a second one, just re-present the same sheet of A4 into your printer back to front - so that it prints the second MOC on the back of the top picture & heading (if you are unsure practise first with some printing that doesn't matter, or you'll accidentally print your barcoded MOCs directly on the back of each other  ).
BTW I have seen a friend's coupons which are black & white and I have to say they look terrible and I am not surprised she often gets them refused. They look awful compared to colour printed ones.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I find when I print on card instead of paper I have less hassle with them as well.0

I have been on an extremely successful shopping trip to Tescos today. Spent £41 and got £4 off a £40 shop (courtesy of Sainsburys) £5 off a £30 shop (courtesy of News of the World) and then a mix of various MOCs leaving me with only £9 to pay..........love it and love all the cashiers at my local Tescos who just scan all of them, those that beep they just give them me back and the rest goes in the till.:beer:0

I always print in colour and have never had any problems at my local Tesco with anyone querying the quality etc. They are happy to take anything in my local branch:j Debt free since 31/01/08:j

Does anyone know if theres a Sept marie Claire voucher, just when I posted on the main one my post got deleted, as its not a chat thread. Surely asking about a product does not make it a chat thread?xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

Hi,
I'm fairly knew to all this and I was just wondering if anyone knows whether or not I can use the printed coupons through the self scan checkouts? I wasn't sure if they would scan okay or not.0
