As this is the sister thread to the No Chat thread which is a sticky could this please be made a sticky?? This will lessen the likelihood of people incorrectly posting in the No Chat thread whether that be through not knowing about this other 'half' or laziness!

    Now thats a good idea.

 Been to Tesco's with my Sainsbury's vouchers and been able to spend them. It took a while tho, I checked with CS, who checked with a till person, who checked with their supervisor, who then checked with till manager who eventually said yes, then said "did I realise I would have to spend £40 to get the £4 off?"

I gently reminded that I was a customer and not a moron and then went and completed the shop!!

    Re Tesco deals:-

Ive never understood these, but having followed the link, i am getting there.

Do i wait for the voucher from tesco, which as just arrived, and use the code on it to order these offers?

Then, once i recieve these, i can use them at the specified store/attraction?

If, say, i used a £5 tesco voucher to get a £20 pizza hut one, can i then go in pizza hut, at any time, and have £20 of food, without any cash used or minimum order?

Has anyone been able to use the Marie Claire or the Daily Mail book voucher at their Tesco's without buying it - I tried but was told with books and magazines you actually have to buy the product - all the other's worked fine £6 off an £9 shop.

Used Marie Claire one yesterday, and the day before. No probs. :D

Decided not use a daily mail one, as tesco dont get paid (they have to be a member of a club. You can see who is a member, by visiting a website on the coupon).

I see there isn't a news of the world tesco coupon today, just the asda offer mentioned above.

I have never used the tesco self service with coupons, as all my local stores have blocked them off.

But where i am staying at the moment, you CAN use tokens on the self service. Is there a limit it will accept without calling a casher? I think i read somewhere there was.

They always have a limit before requiring authorisation, but it doesn't seem consistent.... in my experience it varies greatly depending on the particular store and also how much you your total comes to.

My asda sold out of these meal products tonight, but bought other shopping and handed over 2 notw meal coupons and these scanned at £3 each without buying the meal products.

Showed on receipt as two £3 coupons.
