Printable coupons - to chat or not to chat?

Regular members will know that the 'printable coupon' thread was recently split into 'Chat only' and 'NO chat' threads.
Whilst we all understand the principle behind this decision, many of us feel that the split has NOT been particularly beneficial.
In most cases, what some would classify as simply 'chat', could also come under the category of 'useful advice', 'warnings', 'tips', etc.
Obviously, for the 'hardline couponers' it's enough to just get a link to a new coupon. But for any newbies, it's better to read a wee bit of blurb about how well the coupon has been received in Tesco, and what experiences other people have had. It can go a huge way towards making people feel less scared about using coupons.
Surely if the 1st post is kept up-to-date with coupon links (for the dedicated couponers), isn't it possible to allow chatty posts throughout the thread?
So, apologies for the long post. I just basically wanted to get people's opinion as to whether these threads should be merged again. What do you think?

Chat (we love it!!!)I agree that the thread should be put back to the way it was! I don't like the split at all and I don't tend to post anymore because of the split. I agree whole-heartedly with Honey9036!!!!!Murphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!0

Chat (we love it!!!)I completely understand why and do find it a pain searching through pages and pages to hunt for thecoupons but other times I love the chat side.15st 4lb, week 3 - steady as we go
15st 6lb, week 1 - here we go0 -
No Chat (it takes too long to read!!!)Keep it the way it is - simple, easy, no problems....There is no need to run outside

Keep it split but make the chat thread a sticky as well. There does seem to be a dearth of new printable coupons so there doesn't seem so much to talk about anyway.0

No Chat (it takes too long to read!!!)I think split is better as it's easier to see if there are new coupons or not. Also some of the chat is just of people asking the same old questions again and again, questions that could be answered if they read the first few posts, ie what is xxx's policy, or could be answered by doing a simple google search, eg what's Tesco's head office address. It's just laziness.“It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living.”

Chat (we love it!!!)Although at the time I thought it would be better without chat now I'm not sure. One thing I know is that I haven't found any new coupons since the threads have been split.
On the other hand I think the thread got taken over with chat about which tesco store accepted coupons, emails from tesco etc which did get a little boring to have to keep reading just to find new coupons.0 -
Chat (we love it!!!)I preferred the threads merged. Found it useful and enjoyed the banter whilst looking for new coupons.0
