Bit worried now, I know I'm supposed to be trying to get it off but I tried to get it to heat up again first to make sure I wasn't left with it stuck off again. And it isn't heating up again...

    I'm so stressed out...

Thanks for all your help elite :D

Don't worry - it will not fire immediately - it is either too hot or has an anti-cycling delay - your boiler is working fine. PM me if you want my number and I can talk you through it if you have any more problems.

Did you remember to put the switch back on again that you thought was the power switch you switched off earlier?

The green light should flash every 6 seconds to indicate the boiler is standing by and waiting to do something. It's normal.

Yea I put the switch back on. And it's not flashing at all, I think it has died on me again.

Turn the boiler off using the selector knob - downwards position. Turn the ch selector switch to bottom - permanently on. Turn the ch temperature control to fully clockwise - maximum temperature. Now turn to boiler to winter operation - fully anti-clockwise.

    What does it do?

You have no future in boilering btw :D
