Morning folks
:bdaycake:yum yum birthday cake for Tired Mum and Miss Diddley
Hope you both have a great birthday.
Welcome back to those who have been on holiday:hello:. It's so lovely to go away somewhere but I also enjoy coming home and sleeping in my own bed!
Really sorry to hear of the nastiness in the pets thread. Grief for a loved pet is just so hard - they are one of the family. My thoughts are with all who have lost their little friends.
Rain here but it wasn't forecast. Ah well, never mind.
Have had an upset tum. Real gripey sometimes. Staying off proper food to give it a rest and had some dry toast (oh happy day) and lemonade last night. Having cammomile tea now. Feeling a bit better and still hoping to be ok to go to the horse racing tonight as it's the last evening meet of the season.
Floss2 - thanks for the info on Ian Rankin. I will set the TV to record the programme tonight in case I do go out and am not back in time. I have read 3 or 4 of the Rebus books and love Edinburgh, also Rankin's story of sneakily writing when he was supposed to be studying hehehe.
Ok off to browse a bit and have another cammmm tea

Hi everybody,
Happy Birthday tired mum :bdaycake:
I've been MIA for a few days - I've been to 11 concerts in the last 7 days  :rotfl: and somehow I seem to have acquired a load of new Facebook mates in the meantimeHaven't you all been busy!
Glad you had a great time in London, catowen, and I'm sorry I wasn't available to meet up with you. Glad the hotel wasn't too much of a dive, too. It must have been great to have all that money to spend on whatever you wanted/needed.
Had some good news too. A good friend who is in her 60s has been being treated for cancer for a few months now (ovarian but had spread) and the prognosis was not good. Last Wednesday she had a radical hysterectomy, and not only is she recovering well but the docs are now optimistic that what's left will respond well to chemo :j :j :j
Am hoping to have the energy this evening to go to an aqua aerobics class, but we'll see. Also need to call into M&S after work - this week's bottle of wine on the "buy the Times at M&S and get a decent wine for £5" offer is a New Zealand pink fizz which looks really tasty. Not only that, but the booklet from the Times that introduced the wine offer had an absolutely mouthwatering cake recipe as a suggested accompaniment for this wine - and one of my friends has said she'll bake the cake if I bring the wine to go with it
Got a busy week at work so must press on. Need to get a deadline met before the bank holiday. Luckily there aren't so many must-see concerts this week, so I've got a few evenings to myself - and all of Saturday too, I think.
See you later
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Kaat & Annie, it looks like your threads have been deleted following abusive posts. I really do wish the mods would stop moving threads from the pet forum into discussion time as that area seems to attract a lot of trolls, alter egos and people who are just plain rude. Hope you are both OK

Yes, I do, he's my Darling Fiance.....one of these days he'll become a husband, but my engagement ring is having it's 2nd birthday next month & we haven't yet set a date, so I'm not holding my breath!!

Just back from the airport - I stayed up till 4am to make sure she was on the lfight and then woke up at 9.10 for a 9.30 lift - well at least my face matched my passport for once. dd(11) saved up and earned enough money to change into 150 dollars - she brought back 110 - she is a real mse kid. I've got a massive bottle of maple syrup from her so am going to have a look for something special to do with it apart from pancakes. will spend some time downloading her pictures from the three cds she brought back and then see if she wants to come and have a little snooze with me
have a good dayI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Hi,all, not caught up on weekends posts yet,so (((HUGS))) to anyone who needs it.I'm all behind today as I got up late-didn't even hear DH &DS go off to work, just found a tepid cup of tea next to the bed(bless). Then my brother rang to ask if he could use the laptop as his has gone kaput, and he uses it for his business,so he was here for an hour. Then my Tesco delivery came,by the time I'd put it away it was lunch time,so I'd better go and do some housework!:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
