Well I have my final dog guest for a while staying with me for the next 2 weeks. Hes a little yorkie and despite my preference for larger dogs he is really cute and has won the big dog in a little body prize for me:D We are walking twice a day imbetween showers and hes loving it - I dont think he normally gets walked much so its a nice treat for him and hopefully is shrinking my almighty a$$
Got human guests tonight but we are eating out so no real cooking to do but id best get the house clean and some shopping done I guess.
Hugs to all and Tired Mum please remember to return to sender or they will turn into pumpkins:rotfl:

Little bear has had a bad night for the third night running. He is just not a happy little bear. When he finally went to sleep this morning I asked my neighbour to listen for him and I shot to the chemist for medised. I was told that I shouldn't give him medised because it makes him drowsy. Let me see, sleep deprived little bear and some medicine that makes him sleepy... Do you sell funnels?
He has had huge cuddles this morning sitting on my lap just watching televison. Poor little soul. I am convinced it is just his teeth as he does not appear to be ill, just not happy.
My darling husband was ill this weekend as well. He has been on antibiotics and they don't really agree with him, he is allergic to penicillin. I have just had a phone call from him. He is on his own in the office for the foreseeable future due to a combination of holidays and appendicitis. My chances of persuading him that visiting a doctor will not make things worse are dwindling.
I have resolved to do the barest minimum this week and claim as much 'me' time as I can during the days. I am so tired I feel I could just lean forward and go to sleep on the keyboard.
Tonight there are the remains of the cottage pie and I will add some crispy grilled bacon (from a very disappointing pack from Tescos) and do home made wedges of potato and sweet potato, most of which I can do in stages during the day depending on little bear. I may also add some extra fried onion, perhaps some mushrooms from the freezer and serve with peas.
I am very disappointed with my freezer. Yesterday I thought - casserole, easy to put together around little bear and my darling and it is the weather for it. But there was no casserole meat in the freezer. Instead there were lots of things like beef grills, lamb grills, chicken steaks - things that have been fiddled with. My resolve is to use up the items as quickly as possible and then fill the freezer with more old style items, such as portions of home made chilli. I also have some tomatoes out there, which I want to make into a sauce and freeze. But not this week!
If I get through this week I think I may be extravagant and buy myself a book called domaknitrix. It is sort of punky knitting which I almost certainly will never wear but I would love to make. Most garments of that type are not in my size anyway, so I may have to tweak the patterns, but my darling husband will not raise an eyebrow at anything I knit now (actually I think he is battle hardened and can manage to cope with almost anything I get up to) and I will enjoy doing something a little different to a baby sweater.
I saw the comments on Archie's thread and I was shocked and upset. No matter what you think of a title how dare anyone be so dismissive of someone else's grief. I did not read the thread from Kaat Lady, but I can't believe how insensitive people can be! When you have known a dear friend for years and have been close to that friend and found so much comfort with that friend, does it really make a difference if they have paws instead of a manicure?
I am going to go and do a tiny bit of ironing because on one hand I find it relaxing and on the other hand if I don't get some of the ironing done I will not be able to find the dining room!
Hugs to everyone.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -

Morning all, I had a really good day y/day. DH insisted on cooking his roast dinner and preparing my salad, He did a good job, he also did DW, WM and cleaned kitchen floor.
Plan to make curtains today and will run up one of those carrier bag holders with spare material. Loads of ironing to do and bedding to wash.
I have a batch of garlic roasting, (bought loads back from France so cheap) I make my own garlic paste as it's cheaper than shop bought.
ANNIEB, I'm glad you enjoyed the soup recipe.
AGEANDJO, and JACKI O hope you get on ok at the hosp.
OLDMCDONALD, welcome back.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIREDMUM and MISS DIDDLEY_party_ _party_

Hi all :hello:
:bdaycake: Happy birthday to Miss Sqiggly and Tired Mum
I'm now fully awake  and am waiting for the clouds to clear so that my washing can actually be put outside to dry as opposed to being draped around the house. DH and I had a fab holiday, and I'm in the process of uploading some pics onto my Facebook account. It's just a small selection of them...... DH does get a little carried away if he has a camera anywhere near mountains. Apparently when he went travelling back in 2000, he came back with 17 reels of camera film, 1 and a half of which were just devoted to Mount Cook................. 36 exposures per film.
I've had a shower and really I should be heading towards doing a "big shop". I'm not sure whether I really want to do battle with the general public today. At least we have the "basics" of milk and bread. We've both put on half a stone, so a) I will be changing my signature to reflect that and b) it'll be near starvation for us for the next century.
Oooh, it's sunny! I'd better go and get sorted as I can feel a wave of tiredness coming over me. I feel sorry for DH who has had to go to work today. Thank goodness there is one good thing about being a teacher.....

Morning peeps
Mioliere - Thankyou for the recipes - i`ll print them out and try one shortly
Tired Mum - Have a lovely Birthday :bdaycake:
Anniestar - as others have said, ignore the nasty comments posted by the more insensitive people (people is too kind a word for them really) they really cannot have any feelings at all. ((((HUGS)))) for you and Mr Anniestar- Well the wether here is awful, nasty, cold and raining and i`ve nowhere to hang all this washing. I`m being really lazy this morning as the water is off now. I got up early to make sure i got all the hw done that involved water and now i`m on here instead of doing the hoovering.:D I only managed just over 4 hours sleep last night so i may sneak an hour on the sofa before i go to w*rk.
- I`ve no idea where these bullets are coming from in my post so i must have inadvertantly pressed something somewhere:o
- Mr Sunnyday has jut phoned to say that he will be coming home early so i think that i will let him walk the munchkins
the oldie dosen`t want to go out in the rain but the young one does so i think thats a reasonable compromise:D
Have a good day everyone.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0
