Evening everyone, bbq last night was good kids had a great time and the bar maid kept giving them free juice and crisps all night as well see won the raffle 4 times so the last time she gave DS2 the ticket and he picked sweets (she said he could have them) so he gave them to everyone.:rotfl:

Hubby and me had a big fall out on the way home over nothing (he was drunk and being twisted), also left home 4 of his mates. some thanks.

Went today and got all of the school uniforms and bags and shoes so thats all done out of the road as well as doing the weekly shop. Then DD fell when we got home and split her tongue (it's a bad split), never rains it pours.

Plan tonight is to finish course work and tidy up (hubby away out), so peace to do it all.

Hope everyone is well haven't had a chance to read over thread yet but will once i get wee ones to bed and hubby away.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Thanks greenbee, I looked online but didnt find that site. Only the franklin site which doesnt feature that particular range (I gues they're reasonably old)

So I just wanted to tell you all that I am giving up my intentions for today-or at least the next few hours-DF just told me that Juno arrived yesterday:j .
I have been dying to see it since before it was released, I had him put it on preorder even before the dvd was released. I hope its as good as they say it is.
I will get back on the wagon tommorow-which reminds me, since Monday is a bank holiday-does the weekend list mean Monday too? I hadn't thought of it as DF is working anyway so just a case of I'll get loads done whilst he's out.
That said, he's been really good today with keeping the kitchen cleaned.

Julie- I sent a request to Nicky for the FB group this morning-will let you know when Im accepted:)

DS has been so cute today, he's tossed all his toys out of his box and is pushing it round picking stuff up and putting it back in the box. He's done it over and over, keeps saying "mummy...chean... up". Do you think he's been observing this week? I just want to eat him up:)

My boot is full of rubbish from the back garden so I guess I'll be making a trip to the tip in the morning unless DH goes and takes my car.

Going to sort tea now and then have a bath because I'm still filthy - I have washed my arms and hands though!

    Catch you all tomorrow

  • Evening all,
Been a busy bee today. Chest is still hurting especially when I sneeze, so dusting has been a bit risky... but it's really getting on my nerves now as I haven't been able to do much at all, so am determined it isn't going to stop me... (although now I've stopped, it's really beginning to ache, so best if i don't stop too long...:D )

Nicki - good luck with house hunt, hope you get the one you want! ;)

Pigpen - enjoy your PMT day (and your daydreams). I think they should have national PMT days, only we get to choose when we have them (and how many we have a year!) :j

G&B - Very spooky - were they OK before you looked at them? :rotfl:

Polkadot Juno is good - I saw it on the aeroplane on the way to America in february. Hope you enjoy it. Sounds like you could do with a break and some time for yourself.

Vanilla - big hugs for you and DD.

    Hello

I have been AWOL all week for two reasons, still trying to get back into the swing of things after our hols and been glued to the goggle box watching the Olympics!

Plus I saw the size of the thread and almost lost the will to live! Won't even attempt to read all of this one suffice to say I hope Bo is feeling better, lil_me had a great 30th and all those awaiting exam results got what they wanted/needed. For those that didn't get the passes they needed and everyone else have a HUG from me :D

:hello:Hi AnW's mum - did you hear me wondering where you were? I was going to start my post to ask and there you are- spooky! I have an OH glued to the Olympics, and have managed to largely miss most of - the housework is up to date just about, and I've nearly run out of books to read! Yes, we are a gabby lot, but I think a little bit of flying went on!

polkadot - quick, give that boy a microfibre cloth and teach him how to dust, he'll love it! As soon as mine could stand on a chair, they used to have some bubbles in the small 1/2 sink and wash all the plastic things, they can take things out of the tumbler from quite tiny and we cooked a lot as well. I even had them sowing seeds from about 21/2 - I'm a great believer in passing on skills and no, despite what my OH says, that is so not brainwashing!

pigpen - are you feeling better yet? Maybe tomorrow. Have a virtual stiff drink on me! Or a cup of tea if you'd rather.

DS rang to say he had a cash flow problem, and could we please send him some money, so had to rush downtown and pay something in to his account. He's having a good time, has done two spells of duty, and has the last tonight from midnight until eight tomorrow. For some reason the staff canteen has been closed, and so he hasn't got the promised one free meal a day, hence the cashflow problem, as we budgeted for two meals not three and of course, it costs - he'll just have to go to Tesco's more often!

I managed to get to see Mum this afternoon, and had a nice time with her and Dad. Not great news about my Dad's older brother though, so I shall drop a note to my cousin. Mum wasn't very communicative today, but seemed to enjoy looking at the photos and I put the one of the three children just before they went canoeing in a frame for her.

I went slightly mad this morning, as they had orchids half price in S'bruy's - and I treated myself. I have wanted one for ages - the flylady bit is that I shall now be forced to declutter the window sill I want to put it on!
