MrsV what a nightmare for you all, i can understand completely on the just getting them home, she looks so content there. Bo is the same it's his sofa.:rotfl:
Right hubby away with DS1 to the cinema as a birthday threat, 2 lying up watching tv.
On the large family front, i always wanted a large family. When i was expecting my third a neighbour asked my sister if i was pregnant again and she said yes then the neighbour said she should learn to close her legs:eek:  now i only know her to see but flip me what a thing to come out with.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Hey Denise - thanks for the encouragement. Hope things are a little better when you visit MIL. With such an obvoiusly supportive family her road to recovery will surely be less rocky.
Although I did'nt manage to complete level two today I really feel that I've made a great start thanks to all you flyladies. Usually I'd be thinking *but I've not mopped the floor or blah blah blah* instead I'm thinking *wow, look at my lovely clear kitchen - I have a table!!!!:j
Thanks ever so to everyone - especially Pigpen (without you I would'nt know where to start)

Well done Lanny on a great first day flying! Remember it's all achievements congratulated on this thread, and as for the kitchen floor mopping, that's been on my list for about 3 weeks, and I still haven't done it! We bought a new mop that has a microfibre cloth bottom from a well-known supermarket beginning with A. The trouble is, it won't fit in my bucket even if I dip one end in then the other, the bit in the middle isn't wet still, plus it swivels all over the place so you don't have much control. I gave up after I did the bathroom floor last week.I've worked out that the best thing is to spray the floor or the bottom of the mop and move it around a bit. May try it now actually so that it's dry by morning. You've made me feel motivated enough to try so thank you lanny.
Also well done to denisefowler for you first day flying - you've got off to a roaring start, and will soon be a fully-fledged flylady.
Congratulations to any new flybabies who I've missed out. You survived your first day, so give yourself a pat on the back - you should all feel very proud of your first steps into flying!:T
DeniseNZ I'm glad that your MIL seems to be improving, which is great as it's so soon after her stroke. Hopefully that means that she's more likely to make a full recovery. (keeping my fingers crossed for you)
Excellent news on Bo Vanilla.
Good luck for tomorrow MO4. I'll be thinking of you.
Right, I'm off to do this floor before I'm too tired to do it.
See you all in the morning then,

Crikey MOF77, I think you have been through a lot more! You really deserve a big pat on the back :A (And little fat dog sends doggy licks!)I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. Douglas Adams0 -
Well ladies, caught up with the thread and need to go make DH sarnies for tomorrow. But first..
Denise Fowler well done on your first day!
Denise N-Z so glad your MIL is showing signs of improvement
Pigpen thanks for your response re the telly, I totall agree, but you're right - in this day and age who needs one cos you can watch the odd hting on line. Wonder when those fiends from licensing will cop on to this and charge everyone with a pc...
Vanilla happy birthday to your ds. And as for your sister's neighbour! Well, being half Irish myself I can say it, but they/we have a way with words that is not exactly subtle! Some of the shocking things I've seen come out the mouths of old ladies (me granma) would make your hair curl :oif it wasn't already...Gala bingo wins £70!!! mystery shopping earnings: £0

I bin ALL the tax credit stuff.. if you deperately NEED a copy they'll send you out another within 48 hours... so why keep it cluttering up the hovel?
but, more importantly, I do not trust them not to change things! I want to know what was said, and when!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
What people mean is that their children might actually talk to them.. the parents.. and they might be required to do something other than ignore them!!! 3 of mine could read before they went to school.. 1 could read before he went to nursery!! there are other things in life!
And I bet people expect your kids to be 'deprived'.
Although we DO have a tv I sent my DS to nursery school able to count - and add - he seemed to have a penchant for number...so that's what I focussed on! And I didn't do the job I do now when he was a tot!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0
