I'm freezing
I need milk (just opened the last carton) & I need veg to do a stew (frozen stuff is never the same in a stew) so my choices are Co-op (and use £2 vouchers I have but not get much), Asda/Aldi and pay less or dare to leave it until tomorrow or even later in the week when I'll have DD with me
I'm going to need a proper "out of the house" break soon so I might go then.

Hi all.
My friends have been and gone, but we had a great time and enough of the list got done for me not to stress about it.
I was also happy as they are quite fussy eaters, and they were raving about the chicken, chorizo and chickpea stew i made (although i did it in the SC), and apparently my chocolate cake was the best my friend has ever tasted. Very high praise indeed. They loved both boys and played with them all weekend, and it was good to catch up and reminis about uni life together, especially as my friend is about to travel for another year and we hadn't seen
them for about 3 years.
we are having a quiet day now, as DH is at work tomorrow and we are both poopered from entertaining. Although i have run the WM, emptied the WM, and DH cut the grass on the lower garden, and i have a bed to strip and remake, and a chicken to roast.
I'm having some wind down time here first though while DH watches the grand prix.
lil-me welcome back

I don't do eating much ever, I usually graze a bit and have 1 meal a day, but at least I have progressed from hotdogs, tinned potatoes and tinned peas.. since I was about 3 lol I don't drink water either.. but today I have drank a glass of apple squash.. which is the first glass of juice I have drank in about 5 years!! lol

I think I must be knackered-I fell asleep on the couch at about one and just got up now:eek: Thats two days in a row Ive fallen asleep in the afternoon.
Needless to say I've not done any work. Although I did wake up to find DF had done the kitchen and I did the rest of the dailies this morning (including a load of washing which has reduced the laundry hamper to empty:j )When I said I was impressed about the kitchen he winked at me and said "go to tell that to your flyladies"I think he's enjoying this just as much as I am. He says Ive been far more peaceful this week.
Serena Im glad they found your ds, please let us know how it goes.0 -
Serena - Glad DS has been found, must have been very scary. Hope he is ok.
Sinderella - Enjoy REM, i saw them about 8 years ago at Stirling Castle, i was in the front row and they were awesome!!

Afternoon
Back from 3 hours at the cricket, it was lovely and sunny in the end. OH turned up just as I was about to leave with the younger two so I've left him there with DS1 and DS3.
Going to have a cuppa and then make a cake before doing a bit more packing up.
Serena I hope you are both home now and that your DS is okThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I'm bored! Phoned my best mate this aft as arranged but she's not in, which is a shame.I always feel like i can't relax when i'm then waiting for someone to phone back. DH is doing a bit of studying after faffing around and being generally fidgety...he's now just announced he's hungry despite having eaten a big roast at 1.30pm!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
