Condensed milk is quite thick, gloopy and sweetened and evaporated milk, I think is a little less thick and not sweetened.
The other answer is;
Lenny Henry likes condensed milk sandwiches but not evaporated milk sandwiches....now I'm showing my age :rotfl:0 -
Hi there,
has anyone got a foolproof fudge recipie for my daughter to try out. She's just polished off some lovely homemade fudge she bought at our local street fair yesterday and wants to try making some herself. By the way she didn't share much of it.0 -
There's a straight forward recipe Here you might like to try.
At the bottom of the recipe is a button you can use to convert the measurements from cups to metric.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. we used the valnilla fudge recipie on the great british site in the end,because we had the ingredients. it's yummy, easy and we now feel really sick:rotfl: .possibly cos we added some chocolate to it
It turned out as good as any of the homemade ones we've bought and we're now thinking about starting up a business. but i don't think we could leave it alone long enough to sell any!!
Thanks to those who replied0 -
I've been looking for a fudge recipe in the lists and I can't find one. I'm sure there must be one there. I would like to try making some for Christmas.
I've spent the last couple of hours looking at the index of recipes and I've printed lots of them out. They're fantastic and I would like to thank you all for making this such a wonderful site.

Thank you very much squeaky. I don't know why none of those came up when I put in a search for fudge .... but ah well. Must have done something wrong.
I see one of those recipes had an ingredient " jar of marshmallow creme". What on earth is that?0 -
a) I've "almost" got the search engine sussed
b) I have absolutely no idea. I take it that's an American fudge recipe...?
Thinking on... I have a good friend in the States who is a keen fudge maker so I'll ask for a basic fudge recipe plus tips plus some flavour ideas. I'll add in to the thread when i get an answer back, though it might be a day or two.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
