My Long and Winding Debt Journey

POst has been. Abbey Loan have written to say that they are defaulting us but to please continue with the arrangements made and that we should only contact them if there is a change in our circumstances. Might actually keep a note in my signature of who has defaulted us just to keep a record. I have signed OH up for a credit check (i already had a free one months ago) so going to check this to see if we have any defaults already.February 2013 NSD - 40

Well letter has gone, cost 34p at post office. Don't see the point in buying a book that cost about £4 especially when we are being careful with the pennies. Have to say this is the first time we have really had to think twice about money but the freezer is full of food so should not be too hard and its onlt 2 weeks now till payday.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Just checking our meal planner and have taken chicken out of freezer. Trying for a NSD. Weather is awful it is so dark and wet but not going to put the heating on. Although DS is walking about with a t shirt on he does not seem to feel the cold as long as the kids are not cold I do not mind if it is just me and OH feeling the cold.
Off to put on a washing.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Hi LFTS,
Does your restaurant take bookings?
Keep up the paperwork, separate it into lenders and have a time line on the front of each section detailing when you sent token payments, when you rec'd letter or phone calls etc, it makes things a lot easier whenyou just need to check something quickly.
Round freinds tonight for dinner....free. They are going to lease a pub....OH GOODY!!:D stay wonky

Pepe2008 how lucky for you having friends with a pub, will it do food? Nothing nicer than pub grub. Thats a great idea I have kept a note of token payments and conversations but its all in a list so if I get a chance tomorrow I will seperate it all into each individual creditor.
Dinner went fine but have to say looking forward to tomorrows. Managed a NSD today but not tomorrow as have to buy some fruit as kids finished off the last of it today.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Result!
Got payslip, weekly ( couldnt cope with monthly! ), got Tax Refund....its because the twit Brown took away the 10p tax band, now its back and the diff has to be refunded....so make sure yours/OH comes back to you.
I hope that our friends don't include the 'sticky lemon chicken' they did last night on their pub menu!!! It wasnt sticky ( the rice was! ) and it wasnt lemony....more like singed, sherry vinegary, dry chicken. Or am I ungrateful? Did eat it all and complimented them though....wine helped.
Heres to a good, cheap week. Son and his girlfriend back from Spain hols today so I'd better take all the lightbulbs out, hahaha!
'Bottom of the Fridge Soup tomorrow mmmmmm.:D stay wonky

...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Pepe2008 I have plans for OH rebate. I am amazed at the amount of people I have spoken too who have no idea they are getting this (and they don't pay higher tax) Good luck with your soup and cheap week.
Bank_of_slate thanks for the warning.
Well went to Asda today but managed to spend only £11 most of that was on fruit for the kids no mater how hard things get the kids still need to eat healthy so will just cut back on other items if need be to make sure they get their fruit but I do use tinned fruit for deserts to give them that extra portion. Have put 3 washings on and cleaned half the kitchen other half will get done tomorrow. Just off to put steak pie in and having home made soup to start with yum yum.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
