    Hi LFTS,

MBNA and Capital One are also in my 'collection'. They have both been good as gold, Cap1 just went along with the CCCS pymnt and MBNA have negotiated a forever charge and interest-free arrangement with me. MBNA staff who phoned were very good and seem better trained than ( for e.g ) 1st Credit monsters!!
Most CC's seem to want to get minimum of 1% of the balance each month and then they are happy.

As I've posted before, the only prob has been 1st Credit who bought the Citibank CCrd....if this happens to you, let me know cos there seems to be a definite way of dealing with them. Take a look at Debtman2007's thread on First Credit Debt Collection, its very informative.

well done with the the NSDs.

  • Thanks Pepe2008 MBNA and even RMA have been very good. Citi are the only ones not accepting. Got a letter from them the other day to say they have tried on numerous occasions to contact us and failed they called once once on the 2nd September OH was not in but he called them back later on that day, 3 times he called no one could tell him why they called and disconnected him each time. No other calls. Might send them a letter.

Will give you a shout if they pass it on to 1st credit will need all the help i can get to deal with them.

Citi's phone system was forever disconnecting itself.

I also had to complain about the fact that I couldnt understand what their Cust Serv operative was saying because of the heavy Asian accent....they werent in Calcutta, they were in the UK! lol!!

  • OH has an awful time understanding Citi its soo hard not to loose it when all you are trying to do is ask a simple question and they just don't get it.

  • Ahhh hope HBOS and Lloyds don't merge. BOS is the account i moved too as not connected to any of my creditors but I have a CC with Lloyds. Comanys have to stop merging at this rate no one will be able to get a "safe acount". Will just have to wait and see. NOthing exciting in the post tonight Will do my letter to lloyds re not sending me my CCA.

No NSD for me had to go to the shops £4 on bits and bobs. OH thought when i said we had £126 left till 24th he thought that was for food and petrol did not know we still had bills to pay.

First meal planning week over. Need to do another one for next week.

Posted on the DMP thread about a call I had from MBNA really surprised how nice they were was more an information call than anything. Some folk can be nice.

Going to get kids to bed soon then work on my letter to Lloyds. Need to find out for sure if they have a CCA especially if they merge with BOS I do not want them taking any money from us.
