Ahhh just check our money and it is going to be tight till the 24th. We have £126 to do us and £80 of this is for gas and elec due out on the 20th and £7.60 for life ins now thankfully we have enough food to do us but will need to e careful with petrol and have dancing and milk man to pay. We do have £60 in a seperate account that we are trying to use for savings so if the worst happens we can dip into this but we don't want to we have to learn to live within our meas.

On the plus OH said he eat like a king tonight.

POst has been Abbey Loan are defaulting us unless we pay arrears within 14 days which we wont. Funny thing is they had said at the start they would accept the payments and mark on our file arrangement to pay but looks as though they have defaulted us. No other post.

Not planning on doing much today can not be bothered and it is dark and wet again today. Off to add defaults to my signature.

Have put the heating on I am soooo cold. Need to invest in some nice thick jumpers have jumpers but are too thin. Will put the heating off soon once the living room has heated up.

Hi LFTS,

Ref Abbey, defaulting the Account/Loan is something that most lenders have to do as part of their own process so that it is moved to their 'collections department' or similar. It is only then that they can manage the Account on an interest/charge free basis. This happened on several of my collection, I still phoned when this happened just to confirm it.

So its prob nothing to worry about...confidence required.

i really must start paying more attention to other sections of the MSE site and look at ways of increasing income, cutting costs etc but I spend so much time reading the stories on DFW Forum ( and realising that it could always be worse! ) that I'm beginning to think I'm addicted.

Pepe2008 I spend most of my day on this site I am always go to DFW but have started to wonder onto the OS site but very rarely post there but love to read other folks money saving ideas. I have used lots of them but there are lots more to learn.

Re Abbey they did send a letter the other day to say they would be defaulting us but to continue with our arrangement so I suspect you are right that it is just something they have to do as part of there procedures so just going to file the letter away.

ref Abbey default, I used to phone anyway just to sound concerned. In fact it sometimes sounded like the person I was speaking to was glad not to have someone shouting at them!

The firm I work for also own a big DCA and they can never get staff....I wonder why? I can think of nothing worse than speaking to someone like me in 'full-flow'!!! Hope nobody sells one of my debts to them, embarrasing or what, but at least I wouldnt have far to go to post the 'letter' from my dog through the letterbox.

Just got a note from my boss that there is a Police Crime Notice ( parking/speeding/picking nose at traffic lights! ) against the lorry I usually drive in London at night....lets hope its the Agency guy who used it while I was on hols.....always something to brighten the day!

Must get to bed..1am start as usual.

Thursday - Spag Bol and Chicken breast with Potao Skins
Friday - Sausage Mash with Beans, Breaded Chicken with Mash
Saturday - Chicken and Rice, Chips and toastie
Sunday - Steak Pie Potatoes Veg and Puff Pastry
Monday - Fish Chips Beans and Breaded Chicken and Chips
Tuesday - Spag Bol Garlic Bread, Hamburger and chips and Chicken HOtpot
Wednesday - White Chicken bits and Rice Baked potato with Cheese.

Well another dinner out the way. I need to make another meal plan for next week so will prob do that tomorrow. Heating went off about 5pm tonight but not feeling so cold now. Took a chance and posted on the Daily thread I read it every day so might post on there tomorrow again.

Okay have check OH credit report only 2 of his credit cards are showing on this. As of the end of September MBNA have not defaulted or added an arrangement to pay status just showing a few months late payment. Cap One who sent a letter saying they were defaulting him are just showing as having an arrangement so will check again at the begining of October to see if they have changed this.

Is it ever going to stop raining. On the plus side I have had a NSD :j :j

Did not get a washing on could not get off my bum to do one. Really need to look at budget for next month as it went abit pear shaped this month how i went from thinking i would have £100 to spare to having to count every penny (including the coppers in the jar). Might do that after dinner.
