My Long and Winding Debt Journey

Hi LFTS,
Been a bit inattentive recently, 26th Wedding Anniversary ( not that we really bother ) and all that.
Great to get the first CCCS payment done isn,t it? Feels like the first real step to getting it under control.
Strange how your attitude changes as well. The OH will say 'look at them with their car/shopping/designer clothes etc' and I now reply 'yeah, but I bet they can't really afford it though.....it'll all be on credit and they'll be in negative equity and denial all at the same time!!....well, it makes me feel good:rotfl:
Found a great new source of cheap food in Tesco....the Polish section! 2L Apple Juice 98p, and (in the Polish section of the chiller) lovely cooked meats and sausage and stuff, much cheaper than English watery stuff, yum.
maybe we should all move to Poland??!! and not tell the debt collectors.
Am I a debt collector....I've collected 12 so far:rotfl:

Happy anniversary Pepe2008.
Well today Citi call while OH was at work he called them back on the number they had called us on. The first person he spoke to said they would transfer him to the correct dept but the line went dead, so he called back again the same thing happened. He called for a 3rd time and explained what had happened twice before the guy said ok I will transfer you and guese what - he got cut off again. Well we have tried to speak to them but they don't want to speak to us it seems.
Have checked on the CCCS website under our log in but the transcash payment has not been received but I emailed them to let them know it has been paid. Spent £4 in morrisons today.
Looking forward to OH receiving his £60 tax rebate this month that will go towards kids birthdays and xmas (only 114 days i think to go:eek: )February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Today I have checked my Pigsback account only 10 points to get to be able to order £10 voucher for CDs/DVD/s. On a survey site not far off getting another £10 voucher for same company so that will be £20 towards Xmas presents. Going to use OH £60 tax rebate for Xmas too. Off to check internet banking and my CCCS account to see if our payment has reached them.
Sent a reply to Lloyds re our PPI claim, this went recorded and I know they have received it so waiting to hear from them. They rejected our claim but it was a standard letter that never answered any of our points as to why we were reclaiming so hoping for a better result this time.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
CCCS have received the money :j :j it's a great feeling knowing things are falling into place.
I have checked online banking all seems okay. Have cleaned the oven today and loaded the dish washer and have a washing on all before lunch. Not sure what is up with me today. Will have to pay DD dancing today so won't be a NSD.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Hi LFTS,
Have discovered great new way to save money...get rid of the kids!!!
Daughter moved out 6 months ago, BIG reduction in electric bills!!
Son gone to Spain with Girlfriend....biiiiiiig drop in food bills, but NO!, he is NOT having two weeks housekeeping back, ha ha!
Going to stay up and watch Prog on C4 about living self-sufficiently in Tuscany...that should make me all dissatisfied and grumpy!
Keep up the good work, keep down the spends:T Pepe:D stay wonky

Well not had a chance to add anything on here. Was at a wedding the other day spent a bit but was all budgeted for. Need to check out my receipts as cant remember if I have spent any more on food or petrol. I have no idea where this week as gone.
I am feeling the cold today I will put mu hands up and admit i put the heating on for half an hour and sent that time hugging the radiator.
Nothing to add on the DMP front all seems to be going along smoothly.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Right got my receipts off to have a look and see what has been spent.
Today I did not have a very MSE day. Went out with my friend and had lunch but it was very nice to have a chat and a catch up and I think we cold all do with these every now and then. Going to try really hard this week and not spend going to check back and count how many NSD I had last month.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Okay I had 5 NSD last month so going to try for double this month.February 2013 NSD - 40

Aiming for a NSD today first one of the month. Have no car today so that should keep me from the shops. Got a washing on and am going to attempt to tidy our bedroom today.
Have had no post the last few days. It is very strange not getting mountains of letters and credit card bills.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Post has been nothing of interest. Have checked online banking and if we are careful we may be able to save £100 this month that would help towards birthdays and Xmas.
Shame weather is awful as have to use my tumble dryer or we wouldn't be able to move for wet washing. Might even do some baking later on today.February 2013 NSD - 40
