I'm a little confused about the Quidco cashback. I have signed up to them, scrolled down to the "The Link" section, and clicked on the link which took me to the Link website. Added the phone to the basket having ticked the 12 month option. But no mention of the £25 cashback in the basket.

How do I sign up for the £50 cashback? I've downloaded the form from the frontpage of the website. Will filling it out and sending it off be enough? Or is the a box that I need to check when making the purchase, there's no mention of it in the shopping basket.

I know I sound really paranoid and meticulous, but I trust mobile phone companies as far as I can throw them.

When you click on the quidco link a cookie is sent to your computer which tracks your transaction, so it's very important your browser is enabled to accept third party cookies.

This cookie enables a recrod to be kept of what you've bought that day. This cookie is sent by an affiliate network which does all of the tracking for the merchent. The merchent is then billed by the affiliate nerwork who after recieving the money and taking commision, pays quidco your referral bonus.

It can take a over a week for this money to show up as a pending transaction in your quidco account and occasionally oweing to various problems the transaction may not be tracked and you may not recieve the £25. However once the transaction shows as pending, it's extremely unlikely that you won't recieve the money which will be credited to you about three months after purchase. You will be able to withdraw this money from your quidco account using paypal.

I was interested in this, but after seeing that the final cashback claim is in 18 months its put me off. Its now no better than a 18 month contract. You can't down-grade your tariff, otherwise you forfit the rest of your cashback. Silly really. It would have been a great deal otherwise.

I wonder if CPW will pricematch it (and not notice the 18 month claim-back schedule)?
    Boo!

I think that's a minor issue as the terms and conditions are erm, a contradiction in terms conditions.....

I forgot to mention, if you pay by paypal at quidco remember to use a personale paypal account rather than a premier or business account, as there are no paypal fess to pay on the transactions.

Why is no better than a 18 month contract?

You cancel at 12 month so you no longer have to stay with the network, or down grade. And at 18months you send in your 11th and 12th airtime bills.

I'm becoming more and more impressed by the quidco reporting system.
    05 Nov 05 The Link 0.00 25.00 pending*

I'll put money on those of you who used other cashback sites, that your transaction isn't pending yet. I only ordered 20mins before I wrote that too.
  • Can anyone confirm if you can or cannot claim cash from '3' for referring yourself or a partner to this deal if you have an existing '3' contract?

If you can, how and where?

    Thanks.

In the T&C conditon 2 says something about the number - does this mean that porting onto the tariff is not possible?

Good point, I didn't notice that and was planning on porting my number. Any suggestions people or should I ring the link up and ask them?

No - Porting is possible (but not from another 3 contract).
The phone comes with a temp number. When you get the phone just phone up 3 with your PAC number (from your current provider) and give it to 3 . The switch taked 5 working days or so and the process worked well for my last transfer to 3.
    To infinity and beyond!

Thanks but has anyone asked if that invalidates your cashback or not?
