The deal seems to be suspended on their website right now, maybe in the morning it will come back on?
I had one in the basket just after the post appeared around 9.45 pm, then thought about the year of misery I endured with 3 last year and to make matters worse didn't get my cash back from UKPhoneShop.com, part of Freedom telecommunications, hmmm...... seems like a good deal and I guess that there's less chance of The Link going under than Freedom telecom but nothing is certain

I just rang them and they said the schedule for cash back is over 18 months although the contract is only 12months. You have to be connected in order to claim cash back. Bit of a con really!

Its back in stock , anyone who is interested? I agree with wavey86 and think they are conning people with misleading advertising. Wonder how the advertising standards agency would view this misleading add with the 18 month wording in small print less obvious to notice that the 12 month contract, I would have expected more from a high street name like the link!

just been speaking to customer services and yes you do get the money back after 18mths but you do not have to stay with the contract after the 12mths are up....

ooo this is tempting as I am about to cancel my 3contract due to the price increase so I will be needing a new one as my Nokia6680 will only take a 3 sim so this is great ,,FREE line rental and a spare phone,,,woo woo thomas !!!!

I have just come off the phone to The Link sales line and have been told that you only need to be connected for 12 months but need to make the last cash back claim after 18 months.
It would be wise to get The Link to confirm this in writing if you are looking at signing up for this deal.

re: the free bluetooth headset with the video package (£5 a month). can this be cancelled after the first month?

edit: found the info. 6 month minimum term.

My partner and i have just signed up for this deal, It's a good deal because i have been searching for a new contract they all seem to be on 18 months or only free for 7/8 months. The caskback is a bit of a pain but its worth it.


(Dad if you are reading this stop messing around and take up the deal today and not sometime next week as it will run out of stock again!)
