    Hmmm these all sound a bit dodgy to me- if the rental is free why not just make it free? Why pay and then get cashback? They must be hoping people don't actually send the bills off. And the way the contract contradicts itself definitely puts me off.

    All contract savings are made this way, and yes they are counting on you forgetting to send in the claims on time, thats how they make some £. The Link are a big organisation though, and despite peoples misgivings I am 100% sure this is a genuine deal, otherwise ot would not be advertised as such. 14 day return for any reason means you have security if you are unsure of any aspect of the deal.

    as it says on the front page of the website "12 months free on a 12 month contract" so if the offer was not true save a copy of the website and you can sue them under false advertising and it would ruin their reputation as a UK wide brand - Its a geniune offer call, them if you are unsure.

    rpoints will offer 50% of the quidco cashback ie 12.50, so it will be worth your while signing up for a quidco account just to make this purchase.

    It's a moneysaving tip in this instance so it's important I tell you this. Sign up is very simple and I'm not in affiliated with the site.

    Even with the one off five pounds annual quidco cashback charge quidco is still the best way to signup unless you already have a three contract and can refer yourself.

    I'm debating with myself whether the bluetooth headset deal is worth it.

    It appears to only cost 5 pounds per month extra and the first month is free.

    To be eligible to recieve it, it appears you have to have the addon on your account for at least six months which obviously means the headset + all the features of the videoplus addon will cost 25 pounds.

    That seems like a pretty good deal.

    If you recieve the quidco cashback and cancel the addon in time, then the addon + headset is effectively free too.

    Also you shouldn' forget that if this offer is around tommorow, you could get them to pricematch it and use money4me for the referral over the phone.

    For anyone still having 2nd thoughts, here are the Link Returns policy:

    About this Refunds and Returns policy

    Please note that this Refunds and Returns policy only applies to transactions made through The Link website. A different policy applies for transactions made in-store. Please visit your nearest store for further details of our in-store returns policy.

    Cancellations and Returns

    You can cancel your purchase at any time either before or up to 14 days after delivery by:

    returning the product to one of our stores (please bring your receipt with you and the card you paid with, so that it can be credited);
    following the “Returns” instructions in your delivery documentation;
    e-mailing us at thelinkwebsales@thelink.co.uk;
    Phoning us on 0870 333 1222 - please have your order reference number and delivery details to hand;
    writing to: The Link Direct, Order Processing Dept, Building 4 (GW), DSG Retail Ltd, PO Box 60, Hemel Hempstead, Herts, HP2 7JG.

    Your product must be complete, unused and in 'as new' condition (e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product in any way). It should be returned with the original box, packing and accessories. Any 'Free Gifts' received with the product must also be returned.

    You will receive a full refund, and the cancellation is free of charge provided you return the product to a store, arrange for it to be collected from the delivery address or use one of our pre-paid return labels. If you choose another method of return, you must bear the costs.

    We cannot cancel your purchase when:

    you return your product to a store without proof of purchase;
    there is a contract for services with the product and you have started using the services (this would include, e.g. a mobile phone subscription, but not an extended warranty service agreement);
    the seal has been broken on any software including games;
    the goods were a special order to your specification.

    Re Quidco, how often do they pay out - once a year isnt it? Ive only ever used linemypocket.co.uk as they pay out the £ fast with no fee and no waiting.

    linemypocket have this deal featured on their website already, £13.50 cashback from them, £50 cashback from the Link in addition to the £360 cashback on the contract. I make that a £63.50 credit for taking out the contract.

    Now saying owing to high demand the offer is not currently available GRRRRRRRRRRRR - Tried filling the form in on E2Save to price match ... I'll eat my hat if I get one!!!
  • I have a 3 contract, I wasn't aware I could refer myself for anything - details would be gratefully received! By the way, cashback deals are great if its a reputable dealer, but I wouldn't bother treading where unclear T&C's lie, it just isn't worth the potential hassle. (IMO)
