Fab news about the re-decoration - terra cotta isnt pink but a lovely shade of brown/orange.
So did you like ringing the bells in our cathedral on Saturday? Unfortunately, I can't hear them because I am too far away:( The weather was awful so I stayed in plus I was too tired after getting back late on Friday. Had a huge row with OH who wanted to faff around with trains (I couldnt face lugging my new suitcase around nor traipsing around stations) so I paid for a cab it cost £25 but I gave the cabbie a £5 tip which caused yet more rows with OH (I don't recall asking him to pay for it:mad: ).
Cashflow problems are awful - how about chasing the debtors too? That way you are likely to get more money in to pay the folks that are owed. Its a job I used to love doing when I worked as an Office Manager (I was responsible for the accounts at the time). Mind you if folks were rude their requests also went to the bottom of the pile or if I got seriously teed off with someone who wouldnt pay, I would sent an engineer in to remove the corona wire from their photocopier which meant that it stopped working LOL. My own business is slow - no customers as yet but that will change especially when I start offering people £50 if they introduce someone who books my services (they get paid after I receive money from the client) and I will also raffle off my time at a wedding fair - that should do the trick:D Anyway, I do have a plan B and that is to offer my services to a magazine that has previously asked if I would like to work for them selling advertising space - I can sell sand to the arabs and ice cream to eskimos:rotfl:
I received another £2 coin today whilst I was doing a two-centre mystery shop at a petrol station:j
Have fun with the invoice chasing.0 -
I like the sound of the pink hall, ours is blue (DH's choice) and I hate it.
Well done on the weight loss :j But you are right, try and not be tempted to weigh mid-week. Don't forget weight can fluctuate quite a lot. My weight can fluctuate as much as 4 lbs in a day:eek: If you are exercising a lot then it might be muscle.:jDebt free and Keeping on Track0 -
My hallway is in magnolia but then my whole flat is painted magnolia:rolleyes: still if you venture into my pantry you will find some homemade shelves there made out of wood that I scrounged before it went to the tip - these have been painted bright pink (a sort of in your face fluorescent pink:eek: ).0

My bedroom used to be blue but we changed it to golds because blue is quite a cold colour for a bedroom. Now I have my swishy curtains, my sunshine gold walls and my lovely golden bedding. The room is very warm now.
Having to go singing at St Agnes Liverpool tonight for their patronal festival. Should be a good sing; Monteverdi Mass and Elgar's Ecce Sacerdos Magnus.
Then a massive bun fight so money saved by having tea there!!!
Horace - I hear what you say about the debotors but we have invoice financing so really we've had that money already. Sales is waht we really need as they generate 90% cash immediately.
December and January are traditionally slow months for us as the construction inductry goes to sleep for the winter. It should start to pick up soon though.
Looking to really start to save during Feb although it is OH's birthday and he wants some Chanel Allure eau de toilette. I also want to buy him a gym bench so he can do his exercises at home. He's started Pilates on Tuesday nights. I hardly ever see him!!!
Washing machine leaked all over the floor yesterday. What is it with my house and water?NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM!Nov Grocery Challenge: £0.00 / £150.00

Maybe your house was in Venice in a previous life...it just loves water:eek:
Anything by Elgar is fab - he was born and lived in Broadheath, Nr Worcester and got a lot of his inspiration from walking on the Malvern Hills.
Everything was icy this morning - nearly fell over crossing the main road (icy roads) and then slipped and slithered my way to the bus. I got on the bus at 8.45 and it usually takes half an hour to get to the city centre, I eventually got off the bus at 10.10:mad: Managed to slither to get another bus (pavements thick with black ice) then as I was walking along to get to the chamber, I slipped again and fell into a gorse bush:mad: I had a treat, my OH asked me to take a shirt back to Primark because it didnt fit and told me that I could spend the refund on myself so I am not one to refuse so bought a few bits and even a scarf for £1 as a present for a chum. Then I hit the scholl shoe shop and bought a pair of wooden scholls for half price:j As I was recuperating on the sofa just now, I had a call from ABA for whom I do mystery shops and they asked me if I could do a shop either this afternoon (I said that I had just returned from town and wouldnt be going again today) or tomorrow so I have opted for tomorrow - that's another tenner due - I have made £30 in 3 days doing mystery shops:j
I'd love to have a go at Pilates - why don't you join your OH Strumps? It is good for the tummy muscles and keeps you supple.:D0 -

Unfortunately, it clashes with my bellring practice at Heptonstall, which is my home tower so I have to go. Except last Tuesday when the WM flooded!NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM!Nov Grocery Challenge: £0.00 / £150.00
