Hi
I have been reading this site for a long time, and i have finally plucked up the courage to go for a jog/fast walk.
I am trying to get fit loose a few llbs and build up my confidence etc.
please can anyone give me any tips? I am going to walk for 1 min then jog for 30 secs over 20 mins. I know that's not a lot compared to you athletic bunch but it's a start.
Just got to get my trainers on and do it!0 -
Unfortunately I know nothing about jogging and the thought of running along the streets scares me rigid:eek: If you can run on grass because in the long run it is more gentle on the old knees.
Glad things went well in the exam Strumps and best of luck for the second one, you'll be fine. As for Great Leaders don't mention Gordon Broon:eek:
I went on a free course today run by my local council - it was interesting and I learnt all about tax returns and the inland revenue:eek: Now I need to book myself onto a course about self-assessment tax returns which apparently are now even easier to do than when I did one a couple of years' ago:D There must be something wrong me with me because I am starting to enjoy tax, taxation, contributions and expenses:rotfl:
I came away from the talk which also had a free buffet lunch (a total surprise) with a few contacts and some more knowledge. I need to go back to the library tomorrow to join because they have a fab business section - they wouldnt accept my business card as proof of ID:rolleyes: so I have to take my council tax book or something similar. I bumped into a friend in the library and we went off to Druckers the Viennese Patisserie for coffee and cake - one hot choc, one medium capuccino, 1 strawberry tart and 1 warm plum and frangipane tart came to £10.05:eek:  Still it was rather yummy and I used the money that OH gave me on Sunday to pay for it - otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.
Oh I am Mystery Shopping tomorrow too.
Glad the wallpaper looks fine and good luck with the touching up - be careful where you stick the paintbrush because I know what you boys are like when you start:rotfl:
Good luck with the rest of the exams.0 -

They originally started in Birmingham so we have loads of them here:D
I was hoping for an NSD today so at this rate Strumps is going to beat me:rolleyes: my mate invited me to go hexmas shopping with her so I went and spent £27 on myself in Primark:eek: then she dropped me off to do my mystery shop which earnt me £10:j
Anyway, talking about Strumps - where is he0 -
Cooo eeee ....eeee....eeee (there's an echo in here):eek:0

Morning all!
:T :T :j :j Exams are Over:j :j :T :T
Well yesterday's exam was really good and I feel that I've done OK so I'm chuffed to bits. Now I can really concentrate on getting the house sorted and doing all the jobs I've neglected for the last 2 months!
Back bedroom is looking seriously fablicious! We've put up the curtain across the cupboard entrance and it looks très chic!
I really need to get back on the money saving track too, aswell as go to the gym and get running. I need to get thinner as I'm putting on weight alarmingly. How can I woo the boys on the beaches of Mykonos if I look like a spacehopper in trunks?!?!

Hi Strumpet,
Well done with the exams. When do you find out your results?
The decorating is coming along brilliantly by all accounts, I bet you can't wait until it is finished.
