Hi Strumpet.
Glad the decorating is coming along - the room will look lovely when its finished.
While you're revising just think about how much time you will have spare once the exams are over. Or will you be studying next year as well?Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -

I think he is doing sums Frazzmunch - he was talking about doing some revision on corporation tax the other day. Methinks he wants to be an accountant so he needs to know lots of sums and how to fiddle the tax man:eek:0 -

Wednesday 5th November 2008 (13 days to exams & BONFIRE NIGHT!!!)
Hello you lot of gossipers!,
Well Frazz, I am doing my CIMA qualification (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and I am at the managerial stage (Stage 2 of 3) and I am currently attempting to pass Papers 5 (Integrated Management) and 8 (Financial Analysis). Both papers are the second level (of 3) of their respective modules. I have passed Papers 4 and 7 (the first level) already. Paper 8 is particularly difficult and I have failed it once! After these papers, (when I pass!) I will do papers 1 & 2 of the third stream. Then I need to sit Papers 3,6 & 9 to finish off the mangerial section. All three of these papers need to be sat in the same sitting i.e. all at once!
The I need to do TOPCIMA which is a massive exam where you get the scenario on which the exam is based in Feb and sit the paper in May!
Then, upon completion of my portfolio of competence, I will have passed the qualification.
I estimate this to take place in 2035, two months before I retire!:rotfl:
Nothing to report cashwise today as yet.

Hannibal Lecter is ok, you just have to remember not to accept a dinner invitation from him:eek: :rotfl:
I am hoping that when Strumpet becomes a fully certifiable accountant that he will help me out with my accounts:D
Uhm as for being a gossip, I don't gossip but pass on facts:p
Here are some indoor fireworks for you to play with - don't get burnt now:rotfl:

WOW Strumpet that's brilliant I am really impressed. I did a Diploma in Management last year with a financial module and that was hard enough and I "only" had to write a 2500 word assignment:jDebt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Thursday 6th Novemebr 2008
Hi All
Went to a fbulous concert last night at the Lowry in Salford - a couple of singer/songwriters by hte names of While & Matthews. They were excellent. If you get the chance to go and see them - do!
Decorating is coming on well - now have ceiling papered AND painted along with the ceiling rose. Walls have been painted too to seal the plaster even though we are going to paper. Used a can of paint costing only £2 - very MSE!!! Carpet is in the shed ready to be skipped (it was damaged in the bathroom flood!) and the new carpet has arrived in the shop ready for fitting next week hopefully. OH has sealed all the gaps in the skirting and we are ready to paint the woodwork now. It looks very regency in style!
Cashwise today - will spend £4 on a peal at Burnley this evening and then going out for a curry - I earned it, and it is my good friends' Pearl Wedding celebration after all. Oh - and spent 70p on an apple pie from the bakery!
Horace - you might win the NSD challenge this month!
Now get on with your work you lot and stop trying to get me fired!!!

Friday 7th November 2008 (11 days to exams:eek: )
Well, well, well!
The peal was scored last night and so cost me £4 but......the curry we went for was paid in its entirety by my friends, whose pearl wedding anniversary we were celebrating, so my sum total spends yesterday were only £4.70!!!;)
Added to this, when other people paid their peal fees, there were 4 £2 coins which were demanding to be bought for the dishwasher fund, so I bought them and the fund now satnds at £46!!!
Got a nice weekend planned - in with my books! All day Saturday at home but on Sunday I have to attend a Question Based Day in college (parking in Manchester will be fun especially with it being Remembrance Sunday!). This QBD is where we do exam style questions under exam conditions all day and get them marked immediately by qualified exam markers for CIMA. We get a really good idea of how we'll do in the exam from these results but the day is one long slog from 9 until 4:30!!!
Then on Sunday evening, Rochdale Branch bellringers are having their bonfire party at my friend Helen's farm. Black peas & vinegar, Potato pie with suet crust, Treacle Toffee and loads of beer and pop. Fireworks galore and a HUGE bonfire to keep us all warm into the early hours!!! A truly magical night out!
Staying in tonight so no spending in the pub. Going to have a pamper night to treat myself because I'm worth it and I deserve it. Gonna get all my lotions and potions out and have an evening in the bathroom!
Time to get Queeny!!!:D

Hi Strumpet,
Your firework bonanza sounds fantastic. What are black beans and vinegar, potato pie and suet crust? They sound interesting.:D Seriously, I'm liking the sound of the potato pie (I love potatoes).
Enjoy your pamper session. My Avon order arrived yesterday so I might join you "virtually" :rotfl:Debt free and Keeping on Track0
