Thursday 30th October 2008Free Bingo on Gala today - will I win this week - I doubt it!!!My £25 cashback for joining PaddyPower bingo has finally tracked on TopCashBack. By 25th Novemebr, I will be able to withdraw £49.55 into my bank account. To get this, I had to deposit £10 onto Gala site and £10 onto PP. So I have made a profit of £29.55!!!Had to buy diesel yesterday and a can of de-icer so the NSD run came to an abrupt halt. Still, this will see me well into November!Never did get round to putting anything on Ebay in spite of my promises to myself. What a wally! Must try harder.Horace: I have added you to my buddy list (but may have added you to the ignore list by accident - hope not - let me know if anything strange happens!!!).I have managed to save £50 in change which I have earmarked for an OP on the mortgage but feel that whilst I have an overdraft, I should really concentrate on erradicating this so that I can operate month on month in the black. Seems pschologically more sound for me anyway! That's all for now!NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM!Nov Grocery Challenge: £0.00 / £150.00

Hmm Strumpet could you do a smaller overpayment on the mortgage (say £25?) and the balance off the o/d - sort of clear both at the same time?Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

ooooh I am honoured to be your buddy Strumpet - I have added you to my list too:D
Well I managed another NSD today:j I didnt spend any money at all although I did go out in my car (full of petrol not paid for by me:D ) I went to visit a freecycler who had offered me some twinlock crystal files (they are normally really expensive), she even gave me some fancy cardboard files that contain spring clips and curly wires plus a huge crate that she doesnt want back. Well, I tried to use the files today but my domestic filing cabinet only takes A4 size and these are foolscap so now I am on the look out for a free or at least very cheap filing cabinet (think I may have found one from a company that employs disabled people who recycle used office furniture).
I had the last of my homemade soup for lunch - considering that it was the gravy from the boiled beef and carrots that I couldnt thicken up, it worked out quite well and was tasty.
Its bitterly cold here and the sky looks ominously like its full of snow - I cant do snow this weekend as I have an appointment with lord knows how many girl guides to help them plant 1000 trees on their large campsite - I will need to get my car up a rather steep hill so can do without snow.
As for the money - use half for the mortgage and half for the overdraft.0 -
You were right about the sausages made with caramelised red onion and parsley (Sainsburys best) - they are absolutely delicious and I ate 4 of them for tea with some aunt bessies roasts and some lovely purple sprouting.:D0

this sounds like a good plan to me.....that way you will feel that you are tackling both at once (multi tasking...ooh, how impressive!!:rotfl: )
glad to hear about the coving.....not too sure about the glue fight...could have ended up sticking to the wall!!!
....reminds me of when i had my first flat and had a friend help me decorate....it all degenerated into a total mess when we ended up having a running paint battle which left a lot of the pavement around my flat and several gardens in paint strewn trauma!!! plus we wasted so much that i didn't have enough to finish my flat and needed to buy more!!!.....really good fun though!!!:rotfl:

Tuesday 4th Novemebr 2008 (14 days to exams)
Hello!
Sorry I've not been on much recently but the studying is getting more frantic and exams are getting nearer. Eeek!
Spent £28.33 in Tesco last night on groceries - a little more than my £25 budget but that did include toilet rolls and breakfast cereal which last more than a week.
Decorating is coming on a treat - OH and I papered the ceiling on Saturday and we'll be painting it tonight. Had to go to B&Q to buy some items to help so a little overspend here I'm afraid.
Other than that, nothing to report other than I got expenses from work paid yesterday to a total of £66.58 so that was nice!
Off to update my sig for the new month!

Oh dear Strumpet - we will hold the fort whilst you do your revision:D
I went shopping today - mainly to do some mystery shops so I decided to get a few hexmas pressies along the way. I was given some freebies too which is fab. I have found the most gorgeous aftershave for my chap (hope he appreciates it, if not I shall give it to my gay friend [aka my big sis:D ]instead) I spent more than I had intended but came away with an armful of freebies that will be used for other pressies. I actually spent more money than I earned today but my purchases have been listed on consumer pulse and I got 5000 points which will go along way towards another voucher, have just spent 10000 points on a £10 Waterstones voucher:D
Well Neighbours is calling so I shall catch you later.
Luv Horace
