Hey Strumpet
Virgin CC also send cheques to spend and these get shredded, I don't spend on my Virgin CC at all - I have until May 09 to pay it off but will be looking for another 0% deal after that.
Harpiscord man sounds like a right drongo - why do they pick him when he cannot read music properly? Is it because he's cheap?Hope he doesn't cause you too many problems, if he does then you could always tamper with the strings by lifting the lid and putting something on them or snipping them altogether:rotfl:
My OH is coming up tomorrow and I will be cooking out of the freezer, he has promised to take me out for a meal which is good because if we go to the pub then I have a £10 voucher:j I am hoping he will take me to Lidl because I need loo rolls.
Take your thermals with you to Kendal, snow has been forecast for Scotland and that is only up the road:eek:
It's bloomin' freezing here:rolleyes:0 -

What a super Moneysaving weekend I have just had.
Got up to Kendal about 5:30pm on Friday evening. Staying at my dad's so a wonderful dinner of roast lamb was waiting for me cooked by my step-mum who is a trained chef!!! YUM YUM!!!
Went to Kendal Parish Church Choir practice, and then afterwards to the pub across the road. Had a couple of drinks and then had a go on the fruitie, a machine which I have played many times before and I would say that I know how to exploit it very well. This was confirmed when I dropped £50 winnings off the £8 that I put in! I could tell right from the start that it was in a paying out mood - it was giving me signals which I have come to recognise as positive signs!
Saturday, it never stopped pouring down all day, and I mean POURING!!!
Luckily for me, I was in the church doing rehearsals for Messiah. The concert went extremely well - the choir and orchestra were superb and for my contribution, I received the long awaited (and very much needed) cheque for £250 which I have banked already. This will seriously help the "Get Strumpet out of debt" Fund! All earnings this weekend have been added to my sig which looks very healthy! Must continue the good work by getting all that unwanted stuff on Ebay!
Sunday was a lazy day, very cold but fine. Spent a good hour last night with my telescope looking at a gorgeous crescent moon and a very bright Jupiter in the southern sky. A marvelous end to a great weekend.
Hope you all had a nice weekend too.
Definitely going to tackle the financials tonight, the vaccuuming, and a huge pile of washing up that seems to have appeared from nowhere!

Glad you had an MSE weekend. Was Harpsicord Man better this time, worse or about the same?
I will tell you where the washing comes from - OH leaves it, mine stayed for the weekend and has just left to go to Coventry (an investigation course with work so they booked him into an hotel:rolleyes: ), I have just come out of the bedroom where I espied a bigger pile of washing because he has added to my small pile:mad:
Still, I shouldnt complain, he took me out for lunch yesterday and took me shopping today, he bought me loo rolls (am now sorted for 6 months:rotfl: ), some food from my list and even a lovely waxed jacket (thank you Lidl:D ), he even topped up my car with petrol:j He bought lunch today as well, a good old Pizza Hut buffet so I ate quite a lot and won't have to eat tonight:D0 -

Fortunately, the harpsichord man turned out NOT to be the muppet from the last concert - this one was actually quite good (although I have it on good authority that he DEMANDED to be in the concert and the lady who organised it was so stressed at that point, she just said yes!).I loved singing on Saturday night - it's like a drug for me AND I get paid for it. Hi Gang!
Managing to stave off a shopping trip so far this week - still got lots of vegetables to eat from last week because I was away at the weekend!Freezer is still full of bread although the milk situation is about to become critical! Last night I cooked a trout that had been in the freezer since March - slipped some slices of lime and spring onion into the middle and it tasted superb. The backbone came out in one piece with all the other bones still attached - reminded me of the opening sequences to TOP CAT!!!:rotfl:
Forgot all about PaddyPower free bingo last night! Rats! Might have been my lucky night but I'll never know now.
Got another £2 coin in my change - so that's £14 now. Target of £30 by 31/10/2008:D
OH coming for tea tonight before his pole dancing class. Not staying over though so the electric blanket may need to go on again tonight. Trying to find something to eat that won't make him sick when he's strutting his stuff!:rotfl:
Forgot to bring any lunch to work today so may treat myself to some chips from the chippy. Not had any since August so I'm about due!
Nothing else to report so far so we'll speak later!
Hope you're all feeling better!

Afternoon guys.
Have you all succumbed to the lurgy, or have you not been paying your internet provider's bills? Not many people about recently.
Acquired a further 2 £2 coins for the dishwasher fund yesterday so up to £18!
Not yet been shopping this week - managing to eke out the food situation and will hopefully not have to go shopping til Monday. THis will mean I saved £25 by not going this week.
Another weekend up in Kendal this week - I'm speaking at a dinner on Saturday evening so a big free meal here for me an OH!
Peal tonight at Burnley so if we score it will be £4 spent. Not managed an NSD yet this month - need to get a move on! Target is 10!!!
