Hi Strumpet - do you have Microsoft Outlook at work? Again you can use the calendar function for reminders - it will pop up with a window to remind you of the appointment:D

I had actually done that. In fact, the appointment had been at the forefront of my mind for the last week. However, on Friday morning we had a meeting in the MD's office which overran and diverted my attention. When I cam out of the meeting, the reminder had been and gone and I'd missed it. Annoying ly, because it's in manchester, I have to set off 75 minutes before I need to be there.Anyway - it's this Friday now!Usually, the clinic runs 90 minutes late so me missing my appointment will have allowed them to get back on track!!! Monday 13th October 2008

Will have to go grocery shopping this evening - the cupboards are well and truly bare! Spent quite a bit this weekend as I had to buy a new pair of sneakers which only cost £4.99 but was an unavoidable expense! It is my brother's 20th birthday today so I'm committed to taking him out for a pizza sometime also.

No £2 coins all weekend but I did have my first NSD of October yesterday.

Also, received a £5 voucher for M&S (thanks Martin!!!) for requesting a quote from Direct Line home insurance. It was actually cheaper than the current holder of the position so I might change especially as, if I join up before 31st December, I can have 12 months for the price of 9!!!

OH and I are having a duvet day tomorrow. In reality, we will be stripping wallpaper off the back bedroom walls in advance of the plasterer coming next week. OH is paying for this work to be done so it's not coming out of my pocket!

Finished my Assessment for college and they allowed me to email it to them rather than submit by post so I saved 44p!

Although I am saving like mad and trying not to spend on stupid things, I still seem to be standing still financially. Hopefully this will ease when OH moves in next month. Until then, I just need to keep plugging away at the debt. Ho Hum!!!

    Speak later

    Strumpet - here's a reminder - you have a hospital appointment on Friday:D

Do you use post it notes at work? If so, stick one on your computer, one on the file that you take with you to the MD (in fact stick reminders on all your files), stick one on the dashboard of your car too - saying "I have a hospital appointment on Friday at...."

Hope you had a great weekend?

Hi Strumpet - is the back bedroom stripped yet????

I got my M&S fiver voucher too and spent it the same day! However, I was quite sensible and used it for food. Would you believe it, but it came to just under £5 (I was determined not to spend more) There was 23p change and they gave it to me on a gift card!!

    Hey Horace,
Thanks for the reminder - after all that shouting, I'll have to remember to pop into the ear department on the way out, as I seem to be suffering from acute deafness.
    Can't think why!!!

    Hey Mrs P
    Back bedroom is almost stripped.
OH and I spent 6 hours on it yesterday.
Ceiling is done, but the partition wall between bathroom and bedroom was a NIGHTMARE.
The paper had been superglued on!!!
I will have to finish this off on Saturday when I next will have the chance.
Should only take an hour or so though - 90% has been done.

    Wednesday 15th October 2008
Feeling stressed and ill at ease today.
Work is getting me down and I am very tired.
I've been neglecting to apply my testosterone gel - too tired in a morning to remember.
This affects my ability to cope with stuff - I need to remember to do this.
I will bring some sachets to work so that if I do remember later in the day, I can put a coupe on immediately.
I had an NSD yesteday and quite by accident too!
Monday evening, I spent £38.54 out of my budget of £25 on groceries.
However, last week I never shopped at all so really it's out of £50.
    So! £11.46
might go into the mortgage pot to over pay on the mortgage.
    Not decided yet.
Evening in with the study books tonight.
    Chapter on Corporate Governance!
    Can't wait!!!
Going to drink the bottle of wine I was given for doing the Messiah concert.
I need cheering up, and I have half a tub of Smartie Ice Cream that OH bought me.
Can't see that being there tomorrow morning either!!!
If you bring a glass, bowl and a spoon, you're welcome to join me!

Testosterone cream? I thought you were manly enough already Strumpet?

I will swap you a chapter on corporate governance (I don't mind reading it) for an assignment about hen parties:D Not as easy as it sounds.

I was thinking about the paper thas has been superglued on, could you not paper over it instead? It might save you a lot of stress.

I picked up some butterfly cakes in town - I am willing to share - best get in quick before I scoff them all.

Sorry, what was that you were saying about being deaf? I didn't hear you:rotfl: Mind I should have the hearing of a bat now to compensate for the lack of eyesight:rotfl:

Cheer up Strumpet - it could be worse, you could be on the dole:eek:

If we don't get some orders in within the next week, it might come to that!

Seriously though, if it did, I'd be straight down Office Angels with my CV. Last time I used them, they'd found me a job by the time I got home again!

I'll do anything, me - I'm not proud and certainly not one to sit round on my *rse without a job. When Strumpet's finds himslef out of work, it won't be for long!

Thanks for cheering me up Horace - you're a real mate!
Chuck us a cake then, yer greedy beggar!
