Afternoon!
Strumpet went to the dentist this morning and had the last lot of treatment required to bring his gob into spec! Another £40, making £195 on dentists this month - EEEKKK!!!!! Strumpet IS going to have zero fillings next time he goes.
Strumpet has signed back up to Denplan at a rate of £16.50 per month. It may cost him slightly more over the course of a year but at least the payments will be spread and not in a lump sum. Also means I'm covered if things get worse which they may do as I've been out of the system for so long.
Strumpet had another NSD yesterday making 6 this month so far!!!
Strumpet got another £2 coin in his hand this morning and so that means he's got £10 towards his dishwasher now. I know it's a small amount but it's a start!!!
Strumpet is going to Walkden to ring a peal tonight - if we get it, it will be another £3.50 to pay out in rope fees.
Strumpet can't find his music for Handel's Messiah so had to buy another copy at £10.99 this morning - rats!!!
Strumpet needs an early night and a good night's sleep and feels that in order to achieve this, a nice lavender oil bath is required.
Strumpet is going now!

Ouch and the dental bills and paying for denplan but as you say it should help in the long run!!

At least the dentist is over and done with for now and well done and getting some insurance for your teeth:D
Have you thought of using freecycle to get a dishwasher? It might do you in the short term until you have saved up enough £2 coins to buy one. Failing that buy your OH a lovely pinny and some rubber gloves and set him to work:rotfl:
Good luck with the bell ringing.
Lavender bath - sounds like a good plan to me, I might have one tonight - Wilkinsons do a lovely lavender bubble bath containing real lavender oil and you can always use that Original Source shower gel to give yourself a good rub down when you're in the bath:D
Enjoy:D0 -

Freecycle is a good idea actually although I don't really have any room in the kitchen for it. My Dishwasher project involves moving the washing machine into the outhouse, plumbing it in, plumbing it out again into the kitchen drain and THEN AND ONLY THEN buying the dishwasher to fill the gap left by the washing machine.
Somehow, my target of £250 is not going to go so far but if I put in the whole amount it seems too massive to get my head around.
Might get my dad to help - he's a dab hand at things like this.

Oh, forgot to mention....(quite why, I don't know cos it's quite amazing....)
Firstly:
Found my post office savings book last night as I was turning the house upside down looking for the Messiah (music, not Jesus himself!) and the account has £146.90 in it which I hadn't counted towards my debt!!!:T
Secondly;
It hasn't had the interest added since Jan 2005 so there's bound to be some to be added on (3 years in fact and even at 3% this would be £13.62)
Thirdly:
Inside the book was a £20 note (from 2005 presumably), waiting to be paid into the account.
So this brings my debt figure down by approx £180.52 :j to £693.06, smashing the £700 barrier
I will add this into the low debt figure for 18th October, rather than amend this month's. It will make me think I'm worse off than I am and make me be more careful with my dosh.
Happy days though!:D

I have to send the book off to have the interest put on. This will cost me two stamps but I think I can cope with that, especially as my sister sent me a card the other day and the stamp she used was not franked....
(Sssshhhh......so I steamed it off and will use it again!)

Friday 26th September 2008
Good Morning people!
Well, I'm set for a fabulosa day today - I'm popping in to work for an hour and a half and then NatWest Bank are taking me to Haydock races for the day! How cool is that! Except that I have to take some money with me (no credit cards being taken on account of the temptation!) to have a little flutter. I was going to go to Liverpool tomorrow with some friends but I'm not going to go now and I shall use the money I would have spent on that to take to the races with me. I could always use the £20 note I found yesterday that I never knew I had. And I might win?!?!?!
Fed up with last night's peal - we lost it after 90 minutes and it was ALL my fault - had a momentary lapse of concentration. Still cost me £2.50 though.
Got a whole weekend at home this weekend - don't have to go anywhere. Need to spend the whole time studying but that's no problem - perhaps if I try hard enough I can get 2 NSDs. Come on Strumpet - that's the spirit!!!
So I'll catch up with you all later. Hope you have a good day too and if you're at Haydock, come and say hi!
Strumpet
