    Mornin' Mornin'!

Well I drove to Heptonstall practice the long way round last night (getting caught in the Burnley football match traffic) only to find from a fellow ringer that the Widdop road had not been closed as was previously advertised. So that was an extra 7 miles for nothing - and I was late!

Lunch today consists of veggies from last night's dinner and two cold chicken legs. I will be making chicken stock when I get in this evening after college. Last lecture tonight and I am armed with a flask of hot coffee (no 30p vending drinks for me!).
Tomorrow I go into college to attend a forum on "aspects of learning" for which I get a £30 M&S voucher. I will add that to the £5 voucher I hope I've just earned by getting a Direct line Home insurance quote online. (see Martin's email this week).
Actually, the quote was cheaper than I currently pay so I will investigate it more thoroughly and if it's Ok, try to get it through a cashback site although I'm not sure whether Direct Line do this. Think not actually!

Payroll at work today - with new tax codes as well so think I take home pay is now back up to where it was before my car back tax was taken last month. Good job too given that I spent £155 on Mr Dentist this month.

Got our new embroidered workwear yesterday. Great! This means no more buying shirts and trousers for work. Company paid half so this means I get:

    5 polo shirts
    2 sweatshirts
2 pairs cargo pants (very fetching and show off my bum!!!:D)
    1 fleece
    1 waterproof jacket

    all for £39.97:j

    I can cope with that!

Well off to do that payroll now.

    Have good days y'all.

    Hello Strumpet

Glad to hear that you are having a whale of a time. I have to go to the dentist tomorrow because I broke a front tooth yesterday:mad: It was my own stupid fault when I was trying to be MSE too - went to a trade show at the NEC yesterday and took the train because a return ticket was £4.50 and parking at the NEC is £8:eek: Took my own food and drink too but on the train coming home, I decided to take a swig from my water bottle which I opened with my teeth but then for some stupid reason I decided to shut it with my teeth too (now this bottle is a Sig one with a hard plastic top) at that moment the train jolted and I smacked myself in the mouth with the bottle:eek: A little while later a bit of tooth fell off:mad: Whilst waiting for the next train I rang my dentist and have an appointment tomorrow.

Oh dear Horace my old chum! Sounds very sore. Never mind! I'll hold your hand like you held mine last week.

  • A very industrious day planned for you the Horace.
I joined Lightspeed to day and did some surveys. Hoping to make a mint on this.
Also achieved the NSD I've been parping on about for ages - No 4 of the month.

    Morning all!

Hoping for a nice quiet day at work today after the trials of doing our payroll yesterday and then a meeting about appraisals - YUK!
Popping into college tonight for this forum - £30 M&S vouchers coming my way!
Went onto the pigsback site and signed up for a free sample of Radox!

Get paid tomorrow but seriously down on this month even though I've spent very frugally since lodger left. Will tot up the figures and post tonight but not looking forward to the result. Coule be up to £800 again, so the £174 I saved last month will be wiped out!

Still, free bingo today on Gala so I may be lucky. Feeling very tired today and not 100% - think it's the night's drawing in and the thought of my exams in 60 days!

    Hi Strumpet

Hoping you're having a grand day oop North?

I didnt have my tooth filed - I had it rebuilt with resin and it only cost me £28:D (I will get some money back as I have submitted a claim to BHSF). No ops, a bit of scrubbing, some UV light and voila it was done.
