You have it all wrong Strumpet - Mr Strumpet needs to learn how to cook. Get him one of Delia's idiot's guide to cooking, if that doesnt work then he can open a tin of baked beans, warm said beans and pour them onto some toast - easy peasy lemon squeezy:D

Is Kendal ready for the Strumpets:confused: Hope you have a fab time.

I love this idea - is my kitchen ready to be abused in such a fashion - and more to the point, am I ready to be practiced on?!?

Seriously though, he could do it if he had to and probably make a good job of it. If I'm honest, it's more a case of me hating to do the cleaning so I use the cooking excuse to get OH to do it. I'm quite calculating when I have to be.

But the main reason, is that there's something very warming about watching Mr S enjoy the food I've cooked for him. Tomorrow night we're having roast chicken.
The other thing that I love doing is putting on one of his jumpers when he's just taken it off. It's all warm and smells of him and I just find it sooo cosy and reassuring!

OMG what a sad man I am!

    Morning all!
Well, I had a smashing weekend! Friday night, I went into Manchester and rang a peal on the bells at Gorton Unitarian, the 100th peal in the tower. This was followed up by sandwiches and samosas in the Vale COttage pub afterwards. Very nice! I had to ring the 7th bell which was very oddstruck so I had to work very hard to strike it in the correct place - a good tummy muscle exercise and good for the biceps. Strumpet is looking very manly at the moment with all these muscles!!!!

Saturday morning was spent doing household chores - washed and changed the bedding and managed loads of other piddly little jobs. Listened to the Archers omnibus from last Sunday on BBC iPlayer! Then on to the Lancashire Association of Change Ringers Committee Meeting which was in Padiham so very MSE for me - only 5 miles to drive! Then up to Whittington for a birthday party with very good food - roast beef and roast lamb with all the trimmings and a big strawberry and passionfruit pavlova to finish. Stayed over!

Sunday - drove back home and then on to Halifax to ring another peal. Drove there through Brontë country - very beatiful. Had the roof down on the car - very camp!!!
Then back home for 7pm and more chores.

Total spent over the weekend - £18.35 - a very good MSE weekend for me!

Jobs for today - STUDY STUDY STUDY - been neglecting this and have to do something about it. Also have a tax return to do before 30th September.
Will have to grocery shop today - no bread, veg or milk left and the fridge is bare.
set myself a budget of £25 for the week. Eating out of the freezer still - fish tonight and chicken tomorrow. Magic!

Have a good day all my luvvlies!

oooooooooh Strumpet are you an Archers fan too???

I know all I know about bell-ringing from Neil/Chrissterrfurr and Shugs :D Have you been to the road show and rung computerised bells too??? :o

And as for wearing OH's jumpers I read that and thought "Strumpet is just a big girls blouse"

and then remembered that Popeye mocked me for sleeping on his side of the bed for similar reasons :o:o :rotfl: (I wouldn't wear his clothes, he's Man at C&A, no taste at all :D )

As for wearing OH's jumpers - I do that, in fact I steal my OH's sweatshirts (I use the excuse when I go to stay at his that I haven't got anything warm to wear, so he loans me a sweatshirt which I never give back:rotfl:

Glad you had a fab weekend.

I am an Archers fan although, only recently have I followed it religiously (since BBC iPlayer came on line and I actually have a fighting chance of hearing ALL the weeks episodes!!!!)
As for computerised bells, yes, I've had a go on them and also, my friends Robin and Mark who live in Worcester, have a mini-ring of 10 bells which they took to Stoneleigh for the Roadshow!
Also, some of my friends go along and ring the bells, which the BBC record and use in the programmes. It was really funny recently, because when the Archers crew were practicing for the striking competition, there had to be a couple of pieces of ringing where there were obvious mistakes being made and my friend William was asked to deliberately "go wrong" and he said it was very difficult to do!!!!! Some of the ringers I know, manage it all the time!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Apparently they're having an away day.
Though some have gone for cleaning & repair.

About the only one which has remained is :money: I wonder why he wouldn't go?

Strumpet next time you visit your chums in Worcester make sure you nip up to Birmingham and take a wander down Broad Street where we have our own pavement of stars - The Archers have their own star somewhere by Jasper Carrott and Ozzy Osbourne.:D

The smilies keep disappearing - usually we get boxes and red crosses:rolleyes:
