hi Strumpet, loving your thread. My OH is from Knuzden so hearing about you trundling off to Rishton made me smile. How is the face doing has it gone down?

    Welcome Lucielle,

Face is going down but mouth is still sore. Eating warburtons thick sliced bread as a comforter!!!! Yum! And so deliciously soft!

Sending some hugs to brave Strumpet:grouphug: Gargling with warm salty water isnt too bad - try not to swallow it though because its cack:rotfl: Oh I forgot to mention that dentists lie but at least he has saved you some money even if your face looks like a baboon's bum (red and swollen):rotfl:

Just think of the yummy food you can get with your M&S vouchers.

I have been in a meeting all afternoon and now I shall have my website:j (I would gambol if I could but I'd only make myself dizzy:rotfl: ). This time, I had a choccie biccie - Cadbury's no less but I told my mate that as he provides the biscuits for his colleagues that perhaps he should go to Lidl for cheaper ones and just take the wrappers off and leave the biscuits in the tin.

Well I'spose I had better go back to my plagiarising:eek:

Glad that your gob is nearly fixed tho Strumpet.

  • Ooh la la & naughty French wine!!!

Mouth still sore this morning but healing nicely. Horace you are correct - gargling with salty water is cack but a necessary evil. Still, OH took pity on me and cuddled me better so all is well.

Meetings at work today so not much chat planned, but at least I get to eat seconds of the Sweet & Sour Pork I cooked for OH last night except that it was made with chicken cos OH can't read and took the wrong packet out of the freezer!!! Still, I suppose I was lucky - it could have been Sweet & Sour Profiteroles!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Ringing another peal tonight in Manchester whcih is for a speacial occasion and so they are putting food and drink on afterwards - HURRAH - free meal. Sorted!

Didn't win on Gala Bingo or Bingo Night Live yesterday. Still, had fun trying.

Another £2 coin for the dishwasher fund received in the pub after ringing last night!

Worked out that by overpaying the mortgage by £23.68, I slash 4 years 3 months off the term and save £18,320 - EEEK!!!
Going to aim to do this and possibly more. Debt gone up this month due to Dentist fees so got to get my chuff onto Ebay!

Hey Lucielle - don't you eat all those Hob Nobs at once!!!!

  • Morning Strumpet,

Glad that your mouth is much better this morning and even better that OH gave you a cuddle, nothing like cuddles :)

    Have a good day.

Hello Strumpet, glad to hear that you are healing nicely and that OH gave you plenty of healing cuddles.

Take a carrier bag with you so that when you have been fed and watered after bellringing, you can snaffle the leftovers for lunch tomorrow:D

Try not to work too hard today.

  • Gosh, you're all so industrious, you put me to shame!
I have all of tomorrow morning to do this kind of thing but I should really be studying.
Accountancy Exams are 9 weeks away and counting. And I'm sitting 2 papers this time thanks to a fail in May! Rats!!!

Strumpet - I have a plan for you tomorrow...sit down and study during the morning have some lunch and a nap then do a bit more. Get Mr Strumpet to do the cooking - give him some ingredients and a recipe book (one with pictures helps so he can see what it is is supposed to look like) and leave him to it.

You need to be an accountant and to do that you need your exams.

I am supposed to be studying but haven't submitted an assignment for a few weeks' now - its not that I can't do the work, I can because all the assignments are in note format and need to be brought together into a readable format, I am just lazy:eek:

A nice idea Horace but we would starve.
We have a rule in our house - I cook he cleans! He can't cook anyway. It would be a disaster.

I have to attend a committee meeting tomorrow afternoon but fortunately it is being held 5 miles from home so no big trek for me. Then up to a friends near Kendal for his birthday party. Stay over and then back home via Halifax to ring another peal on their fine bells.

What a busy weekend.! Need to plan a revision timetable so that I cover all my work thoroughly. Last lecture on Wednesday evening coming so then can knuckle down.

OH does not move in until November. It's complicated!
