Hello all!
Just thought I'd pop in and say bonjour/guten Tag, good day - real life has kept me off the internet for a couple of months, but now I'm back and my fingers are twitching with avengence
Good to see that everybody is well, despite any hic-ups (just like hic-ups, I'm certain the universe/gods/whatever sends these things to try our strength and patience, and just like hic-ups, they pass when we don't notice them anymore)
Oh that's too philosophical for 7:50 am!
Love from the north

Well done on the weight loss - will have to get going with that.
And Horace - size 12?!! I can't remember when I could last get anywhere near a size 12! Definitely need to do something! have a good day all!0 -
I didnt call Strumps in the end as I ran out of time and didnt think that he would appreciate a call at 10pm:eek:
I would appreciate a call from you at any hour Horace and you too Mrs P.
Having said that, at 10pm I was zooming down the M65 in the dark with the roof down as I was on my way back from ringing a fab peal at Blackburn Cathedral. The perfect end to a perfect day. Spent far too much money yesterday though.

Strumps
Good job I didnt call then otherwise I would have had a load of wind noise and Strumps singing lewd songs at the top of his voice:eek:
Have spent the morning on the phone to the bank who have now upped the interest rate on my e-saver to 1.25% from 0.25%:j but they're Visa section are refusing to up my credit limit from £2K to £4K saying that they want me to earn at least £2K a month - well they can go whistle and I will use my Amex card and get cashback plus it has a limit of £8500. What annoys me with Visa is that they appeared to be upset that I didnt have a loan or HP and have an excellent credit report:mad: Its easy dealt with - I can always cut up their card. Plus the bank have said that for every person I recommend who deposits £1500 in their account, they will give me £50 and to their new customer they will give them £100:cool:
Well I am off to my solicitors to pick up the cheque and I may just treat myself to lunch using my LVs:cool:0 -
Horace - thats a fantastic opportunity for you. I expect you will feel much happier once you have got one event under your belt (especially if you haven't done any for a while). Its just a matter of confidence.Debt free and Keeping on Track0

Sorry I was unavailable when you called Horace (several times)1 I was in Heptonstall for the evening and the reception there is almost non existent, so I didn't realise you'd called until this morning. Try to catch up with you before the end of the day!:D
Mrs P: You've been very quiet on the food front - is that because you're being good and saving up all you good news:T or is it because you were taught not to speak with your mouth full?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well done on losing 2lbs MrsP.:j
Strumps - I shouldnt worry about the call, I figured that you must have been partying somewhere:cool: (I didnt call several times either:rolleyes:).
Just back from Northfield as I went to the bank to put in another cheque, got a few bits from my shopping list and got a few bits for the emergency kit that we planners have to have. I got moaned at in Boots by an assistant whose daughter gets married in two weeks (she had commented on my strange array of items and the fact that I had asked for a bottle of smelling salts), she was moaning about the fact that I am a wedding planner as her daughter had organised her wedding herself, my response to her as she was so rude was that I only organise society weddings and therefore needed to top up my emergency kit.:rotfl:
At long last I have control of my own business bank account and now I can close it and move to the Co-op where I get free banking for life and a £25 annual loyalty bonus:j
Best get on with my work I guess - I need to put my spends into my accounting system (one day I will sort through all the receipts as at the moment they are shoved into a folder with a press stud closure).0 -
Thanks for the "well dones" - I'll have to stay good now won't I?
