Come on now Mrs P - I was a "Maintain" last week! At least you didn't put on. Maybe your body is "readjusting!" and getting ready for a mega loss next week.
Only if you stay off the chips though!!! LOL
Horace:
I have used:
The supermarket trolley token,
The aftershave
The Sainsbury's bag that all the goodies came in!!!
Thanks for the tea and pastry - I too have found a good friend!
Hope your eyes are behaving!

My eyes are behaving - they had a long sleep and an even longer lie in this morning:mad:
So I got one thing right - you used that gorgeous aftershave:cool:0 -
Hi guys.
It's SW weigh in this evening although it has been 9 days since the last one, so I've had an extra 2 days to work off Horace's tart from last Friday!!! LOL
Busy day at work today - month end prep etc. Orders seem to have dried up too which is a little worrying. I'm hoping it's just that people are waiting for the new month before they start ordering!
Foodwise, I think I have done quite well this week. I had a meal out yesterday evening after ringing a peal at Blackburn Cathedral. I had a Five Bean Chilli made with Quorn and some basmati rice. I was having a green day so that fit in very well. I was dubious about the Quorn but it was actually really nice so I might make some at home for use on Green days. I am counting a couple of SYNs for the oil that I imagine was used in the prep of this dish, but other than that, all the ingredients were free on Green.
More ringing this evening which I could really do without as I'm tired but I shall go with a smile on my face to encourage all the learners. I'll be fine when I get there - it's just the travelling as it's in Rochdale. And I'll have to go straight from SW.
Other than that - all is fine.
Oh...and I don't think I told you....

What did I say about the exam Strumps - you should learn to trust Auntie Horace:D:j Well done on passing by the way:j:j
I had an unexpected visitor last night - he came in the afternoon as it was lashing down with the rain and the drive from Bolton to Birmingham was bad enough and he couldnt face driving to London plus he fell asleep on my sofa:rolleyes: But he did take me out to dinner at the local Toby and I was good and had turkey with plenty of veg: carrots, peas, cabbage, cauliflower cheese and a couple of roast tatties:D Then he gave me £10 to go to the shop so I bought a newspaper, 4 bottles of Vimto (cheapo deal) and a bar of caramel choc which is in the fridge for him and not for me.
The hospital was ok yesterday, I ditched the drop that I have to take every 4 hours but kept the rest and I am due back in 3 weeks when Prof is on his hols, I was at the hospital again today getting my eyes tested and discovered as I thought that I need yet more new specs:rolleyes: Got rained on again:rolleyes: but when I got home I opened my emails and noticed that I received my final mark for my assignment on wedding transport which was as boring as hell but I got an A:j I will now receive my Diploma but not with merit because I have two C marks:mad: and I will have letters after my name Dip.WP (Inst.WP) Now I am wondering if I can claim the cost of the event planner course from my business and the tax man?0 -
Well - its double congratulations then:j:j Well done both on your exams.
Strumpet - best of luck tonight at SW I'll be thinking of you. I'm still struggling along but trying to make wise choices with my food. I am managing not to snack in between meals now.
Horace - thanks so much for the tip off about £5 off Lidls, I have used it twice now. Unfortunately I haven't been able to do all my monthly shop at Lidls I still needed to go into Tescos but have managed to spend £19 in Tescos for my monthly shop:j:j I have spent a total of £80 in Lidls for my monthly shop. So far total spend £100 (I still have £90 set aside for the monthly shop). I am hoping now that I can "save" that £90 and use it on my holidays towards the end of August.:jDebt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Well done Horace - do we need to address you as Dame Horace now you have all those letters after your name?
And well done Mrs P on all this money saving. I might just look into the £5 LIDL thing as there is a LIDL at the bottom of my road I think!
Will let you know about the SW Weigh in. Sorry not been in touch either of you - been up to my eyes this week.NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM!Nov Grocery Challenge: £0.00 / £150.00

I have to confess I've slipped a bit today - I went into M&S (really have to avoid that shop) and bought a pair of shoes reduced from £35 to £9. I also bought a nightie and dressing gown (not reduced) for a total of £24.50. Therefore the money "saved" by my Lidls shop has now been spent! I am delighted with the shoes, they are flat sensible ones like a granny would wear, they are as comfy as slippers and I will be able to walk a million miles in them.:D Justification for the nightie and dressing gown - don't have a dressing gown I've been using DHs which is far too long.
Strumpet - don't worry about not being in touch - I know what its like to be busy. Best of luck for tonight.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
I have a spare voucher you can use Strumps but I have a horrid feeling that it has to be used by 3 August. I am trying to work out how I too can get to Lidl seeing as I am not allowed to drive at the moment and my nearest one is 5 miles away:eek: Get the daily express newspaper - 40p and there will be a £5 off a £30 spend in Lidl's in it.
No need to call me Dame Horace neither:rolleyes: Just Horace will do:D
I did another pKone survey today so that will be another £3 book of LVs heading my way - I use them to treat myself to lunch when I am around Selfridges, I go into Starbucks for a sandwich, mug of caramel macchiato (no extra sugar as the syrup ontop is enough) and sometimes I will have toasted fruit bread with butter (I dont bother with the jam) that comes to £6.70 so all I do is hand over two books of LVs and 70p - I will usually bring the sandwich home with me:cool:
I shall be out nearly all day on Tuesday meeting a wedding planner and going to the eye hospital then on Wednesday I have another meeting and then I am going to the solicitors to pick up a cheque because I refuse to pay a fee for a BACS transfer with their silly £15 + VAT admin fee on top:mad: I am beginning to think that I am not going to bother with this solicitor in future because I am still waiting for a contract to be written up after she upcocked the last one:rolleyes: It would have been quicker for me to write it myself.0 -
Congratulations on the exam! :T0
