Can I ask, please? Does anyone do this in a BM? What seed mix do you use? Most important (considering the price of a BM and I am willing to pay for reliability - even for a panny:eek:) does it work out cheaper?I have made seeded bread in Panny, never used mix, just sunflower seeds
The problem long term is seeds / nuts are hard and over time [years not months] degrade the non stick finish
No idea on cost comparison as the seed / nut / raisin trials were jsut that as I normally have bog standard
My guess is, if you can find the seeds / nuts etc at a reasonable cost then it should be cheaper, or at least much better. The small packets from Asda etc are probably not good value, but I am unable to suggest alternative source, maybe Robert Graves or local health shop?
Does anyone else do 'seeded' bread?0 -
I have a Panasonic SD253. Tried to use it the other night, programmed it and pressed start. The red light came on, went off and display reverted to 00.00. Switched it off at the mains, switched it back on again and re-programmed it. The same thing happened, although the red light stayed on a bit longer. Any suggestions? I emailed Panasonic but received no response.0

The machine holds the memory for 15 mins if you have a power cut. Try leaving it off for 15 mins.0

Will disconnect. Thanks0

Alternatively, holding down the start button ("cancel") might reset it to a sensible state. Good luck with it.0

When I switched it back on the red light stayed on for much longer then went off! Tried holding the start button down, it stayed on but when I then programmed it, pressed the start button, it wouldn't stay on! Thanks to both of you for your help.0

How old is it? They don't last forever. I've never managed to keep one longer than three years, using it five or six times a week.Val.0

Since it first came out, so probably about 8 years! It gets used in fits and spurts, sometimes 5 or 6 times a week but hadn't used it for about 3 months until the other night.0
