Hi everyone!
My MR BR broke down and I just picked up a Panasonic one today (sd-256wxc)
OMG what a difference! I wish I'd never bought the other one! haha
I went very late to pick it up from Argos but managed to test 1 loaf (basic white - large, light crust) which was great
I added 2 tablespoons of olive oil instead of butter and was wondering if when you add butter/marg do you have to melt it first?
Thanks everyone xWhy does my dog chase cars? Even if he caught one he hasn't passed his test!0 -

when it broke I got a Panny, & like you couldn't believe the difference in quality, like day & night, amazing isn't it?
try the Italian bread next, it's excellent
sorry MR fans, but I'd never, ever, recommend one to anyone
PS ... by a series of coincidences, I've got the use of a Kenwood (450?) as well as the Panny & they're equally good
I like that you can programme the Kenwood but am still investigating that0 -
do you know if im meant to melt the butter before it's put in?
thanks and will deffo try the itialian nextWhy does my dog chase cars? Even if he caught one he hasn't passed his test!0 -

no, there's no need to melt butter, the kneading action is strong enough & generates enough heat to distribute it through the dough0 -
brilliant! thanks so much...i still can't believe the difference in loaf! I reckon there must have been something wrong with my MR because light, med and dark crust all came out the same...light on here was light! yippee! hahaha

Sorry, can't read through the whole thread as have littlies to look after. Have a panny and due to autism in son have been advised to try a gluten / dairy free diet. Now there is a gluten free programme, just wondered if anyone had a recipe that was good that I could try?
Thanks in advance
xMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -

can't help you with the recipe, but to save you having to post again when you are looking for something, there is a button that lets you do a search just for that thread, it's just above the first post in every page, on the right hand corner.
