I'm having a little problems with sandwich loaves. The always seem to come out lop-sided, high at one end and then gradually sloping away. I try to ensure that the flour is level before I start, but it still comes out like that.

I had thisn problem with my SD254 and realised that it was due to where I had positioned my panny. It was nearer the wall on one side than the other and since I have moved it so that there is loads of space around it at all sides the problem has disappeared :D I also had the central heating boiler on the nearest wall so maybe that had a bearing on the dough rising evenly.

    that's an excellent tip :)

I put my BM in the dining room if I'm using it overnight (my kitchen's above & below my neighbours' bedrooms & I don't want to disturb them) & I'd wondered why I get the odd uneven loaf when it's not operating in its usual place

it'd never occurred to me it might be the positioning  I'll be more careful about where I situate it in future

Thanks amber, was waiting (lurking) to see if someone had a solution as I've had a similar problem. Have now moved my panny 255 to another work surface away from my ch boiler, looking forward to the next loaf being a more regular shape :D

My kneading blade has got stuck in the last 3 loaves I have made and I've only just had my breadmaker!:eek::eek:

I don't want a repeat of yanking it out with a pair of small pliers like I used to do when I had my morphy richards...I wash the blade with a soft sponge everytime and also I carefully wash the pin....

I use the basic loaf recipe from the booklet and didn't have problems before...the mix can't be too dry as I have digital scales and get the measurements exact.

I hope this doesn't carry on as pulling it out with pliers is going to damage the coating on the blade and make it stick everytime like my last one :(

    HELP!!!!

Don't know the answer except make sure the blade and spindle are vert clean. I get this periodically and then it is fine. I just wait till I have sliced enough bread to get to the area it is and them slide it out.

I would suggest that pliers are not the way to go. Wait the bread cools, then use a plastic spatula and go carefully around the hole in the base of the bread and it will come out easily. Try using a little more water next time?
