Panasonic Breadmakers Tips and Quick Questions Thread

My Morphy Richards Fastbake instruction manual said to coat the pan and blade in oil then put it on to cook for 10 minutes in the breadmachine (those aren't exact instructions, please check your instruction manual rather than taking my word as law!). This would stop bread from sticking to the pan or blade. Then you had to never use washing up liquid, and if you ever had problems (eg the blade coming out) to re-oil and bake it again, as it may need redoing occasionally.
Not sure whether your panasonic is the same?0 -
9/10 I have to dig out the paddle from the loaf cooked in my bread maker!!
My sister thought it was hilarious having a polo looking slice of bread!!!0 -

I've had my pannie for over 3 years and bake a small white or wholemeal loaf nearly everyday but for the past week the mixing blade has stayed in the loaf.
Can anyone tell me why and what I can do to prevent it happening?
Thank you.
PS I love my pannie and hope it's something I can put right
My first Panasonic always left the paddle in the bread pan; this one always leaves it in the breadNot sure there's much you can do, sorry.
As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the existing thread to keep ideas together.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Ive had mine 6m and 9/10 it does cook in the loaf you have to try to bang the tin when getting out and that helps it to slip out otherwise you end up hacking loaf to death to find it!0

If you run your fingers over the bottom of the loaf, you can usually tell where the blade is. Then you can break the crust and pull it out without doing any significant extra damage to the loaf.import this0

I sometimes find that altering the amount of water helps. There is a refernece to this in the instructions.0

I find the paddle never stays in if I promptly remove the bread after it's baked. It's the main reason I don't put bread on at night for the morning.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0

Is it possible you have overwashed the paddle...that would make it stick in the loaf especially if you have used a scourer on it...0 -
Used a scourer on it!!:eek::eek: There's your problem!0
