Want to make some pizza dough which is fine, but do I freeze it for topping at a later date BEFORE I cook it? Or do I need to cook it before I freeze it?
Is there a knack for rolling it out once it's done?

Hi I've just got a panasonic 254 and even though it's easy enough to use, I find that the bread is too "yeasty" tasting and a bit "solid" textured.
I'm using the recipes in the booklet...
550g strong bread flour
1.25 tsp yeast
2tsp sugar
1.5 tsp salt
360ml water
If I cut down the amount of yeast, will it rise as much? I'm using a dried yeast, should I activate it first?
Any ideas appreciated!0 -
I always use the sachets of yeast bought in supermarkets ie.e Hovis etc. Make sure you put the yeast in first, and the quantities must be exact.0

Has anyone had trouble with a panny overheating? Mines not baking and giving me a temp error:eek: What now.0

If it's still under warranty, you could get it replaced. Are you getting this problem every time you use it. Could be the place where you are using it could be too hot. Sounds like a fault to me.0

This is the first time its happened to me. It was given to me by a friend who left the country-I got it a year ago and I think she only had it a year. I have no documentation so I cant say if it is still under warranty or not:rolleyes:0

Let a qualified electrician have a look at it, but may be cheaper to buy a new one.0

Turns out the bobbin that holds the element stable is broken. OH apparently knew "for ages" just called panasonic and asked their advice. Have ordered the part so now we'll just have to wait for it to arrive to put it in.
Will let you know how we get on.
Thanks for the speedy response0 -
