You should see a 'rest' message on the display. (Bottom middle/right I think)?

As above, several recipes start with a rest, (fingers crossed!).

It does. Can't believe we missed that bit of info. Bread maker is fully functioning and has turned out two lovely wholemeal loaves so far!! Roll on (pardon the pun)!!

I thought the same as you. I went from a Morphy Richards, which started going straight away to the panny. I didn't think it was working either. but oh read the instructions. I am terrible. Only read the instructions for anything as a last resort.

Can anyone tell me if my raisin bread will turn out okay.
Have put the raisins in with the other ingredients by mistake.
    Not in the dispenser.
Only second time i have used it and am a bit nervous.
    thanks:confused:

Don't be tempted to peak. It might not rise as well but I am sure it will be fine,

My raisin dispenser broke not long after I got it, so my raisins, etc have nearly always gone in with the flour, and turn out fine ;)

    Hi all,

We have now had our panasonic breadmaker for over 6 months and can honestly say we haven't bought a loaf of bread since, we love the bread that comes out of it!

We have had 1 "dodgy" loaf (probably caused by our mis-measuring of ingredients!) and a few occasions where the seed dispenser failed to let the seeds out, but apart from that it has been fantastic.

Has anyone tried to make croissants in it? I am doing it right now, and the bread maker made some good dough, and then I got to the stage of rolling, folding and dotting bits of butter in and it has got a bit messy! It is now in the fridge for 30 mins, I hope the next stage goes better than this stage!!! Will let you know how it goes :-)

Hi Ive had my breadmaker years, it got dumped in the back of my cubbard and I fished it out 2 weeks ago. Ive been inspired to get it out after reading posts on here. Ive been using bread mixes, not yet confident enough to mix my own. Anybody advise who has the best mix? So far Tesco crusty has been my fave. Is it cheaper to buy flower and yeast? What kind of cakes can be made in it?Thanks in advance for any advice, Jane
