I can usually start off another loaf within about 15mins of the first one finishing. I just leave the lid up at the end. I don't know if anyone else has had a similar experience to yours. It's never happened to me.0

If anyone else likes to use Tesco bread mix in their Panny it is currently only 50p. It comes in white or wholemeal. We find them very handy and foolproof. It was 65p doesn't say it's on offer but I reckon the price will go back up once they've shifted a bit of stock at the warehouse.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0

hi
I have just treated myself to a Panasonic SD255 I have one question re the recipes in the manual if you are using butter do you melt it before adding to the breadmaker?, also can you use reduced fat butter or would it have to be the full fat version.
Thanks in advance.

I would think you would have to melt it firsst but I don't know. I always use olive oil.0

We put the butter in "as is" .
If you put "reduced" fat in, then you are not using the correct amount.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
My OH is at this moment sat with a cheshire cat smile after tasting a gluten free loaf made in the Panny.....it looks and tastes almost like normal bread (he hasn't sampled normal bread in 2 years). So i think it was money well spent0

I'm having a bit of a do with--I think--the last batch of Lidl flour  the bread is so soft & crumbly when we try to slice it. At first I thought I'd rescued my supply by swapping some with wholemeal SR, but it's not working. There's four bags left & I don't know that I can face making that lot into rolls _pale_
Any suggestions folks?Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

I have tried twice now to make the Vollkornbrot (wholemeal) bread from the Lidl mix (Muhlen Gold). Both times it basically hasn't risen very much. It's been a ball of cooked dough about a third of the way up the pan.
I added 320ml of water the first time, warm as per the instructions. As the paddle got stuck in it I added more water the second time - still like a stone. Admittedly the first time I had it on a white rapid setting (oops) but did it on wholemeal rapid the second time - a 3 hour program.
Anyone had success with this mix?0 -

These have gone back up to 65p again now.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
Hi everyone,
I have had my BM for nearly a whole week!!:j I have made loaves using strong white flour and they are great. But I also have some bread mixes lurking in the cupboard and would like to use them up. Does anyone use mixes in their BM?
I did the Hovis Granary Mix last night and it did not brown on the top and is a very dense loaf. Any idea what setting this sort of bread mix should be put on. (I used Bake Rapid - Basic Setting). I also have a Hovis Wholemeal Mix to use up and a Wrights Sundried Tomato & Parmesan Bread Mix.
Any ideas gratefully received.
