I'll be using my new Sd255 for the first time this week.
The only place I could place it in my kitchen is on a standard kitchen worktop. I was wondering whether the machine would get too hot for that surface? If so, should I use an intervening stand, and if so what?
Can anyone advise?0 -
I stand mine on a normal kitchen worktop and it seems ok. Anyway, it has rubber feet so you should be able to use it anywhere.0

I use mine on the worktop and it's fine. Steam escapes near the top at the back when it's cooking, so make sure it's not too near a wall.0

I got my panasonic s255 breadmaker with some vouchers just before christmas. So far I've only made bread using the Wrights bread mix, which comes out very well and does work out cheaper then buying a loaf.
Now I want to be a bit braver and try making bread with flour and yeast. I always use lidl bread flour and tescos yeast.The most important thing to do is follow the instructions and measurements to the letter.
I have also tried marks and Spencer organic wholemeal strong flour and the bread tasted similar to when i used tescos stone ground flour.0 -

Don't spose anyone has seen the 255 model on sale anywhere recently? Best price I can see at the mo is approx £85 from Amazon.

I use tescos or Lidl bread flour, but I stick to Hovis yeast. IMO the tesco's yeast is okay but Hovis makes your loaves rise better.0
