  • I would switch it off at the wall and leave it for 5 minutes, then switch it back on and put it on the right setting.

My Panny has to be switched off for a lot longer than this to reset as it holds it's memory, clearly this is a great feature in a powercut but less good when you are trying to reset it!!

  • Hi all, I have a Panny and I use it to make gluten free bread for myself, using Doves Gluten free Bread flour. I was just wondering if anyone on here has any gluten free recipes I can use in the BM? Bread or cakes would do :D

  • I've only recently tried using the panny on the dough setting. Can anyone please tell me why the 50/50 dough uses about 340mls water when the 50/50 bread uses about 370mls water?
When I made rolls in the 'moska, they were alright, but when I made a large cob, it seemed a bit dry, and closer textured. Did I maybe not give it long enough to prove:confused:.
Any help/advice would be apprecciated, as I would prefer the option of a different shaped loaf. DD want me to try a plait, and I wouldn't mind trying finger rolls.

As Penny has said, holding in the start button until the display resets is the answer. ;)

  • Trying-very-trying...I'm not sure if this helps but I make the spicy fruit loaf on dough only in my SD 255 Panny and then make it into rolls and the dough is very sticky and needs quite a lot more flour rolled into it. So...I imagine that the Panny works well with quite wet dough so the recipes that think they are being completed in the Panny have quite a lot of liquid in them whereas the recipes for dough only produce a less wet dough because they are going to be taken out of the Panny.

Hope that makes some sense! I just add more flour when I kneed it.

  • Hi everyone!

I have an SD255 and I have a question about adding seeds. The one thing that annoys me about it compared to the Morphy Richards one I borrowed from my mum is the length of time it takes to make a seedy loaf! 5 hours compared to 3. Sometimes its not convenient for me to wait around for an hour and a half to add the seeds too (i know I should have got the one with the seed dispenser).

So does anyone know what happens if you add the seeds earlier than the beep?

    Thank you!
