  • Im OK CC, was more in a kinda shock yesterday.
As you know my gambling problems were always online, so to actually take £40 out my purse and use real cash is worrying.
    8 cards and i didnt win a penny ~ im a really C rap gambler! :o

I think i'll be OK, but i was soooooooooo mad with myself.

Im trying to put it behind me for sanity sake, and have been refocused on actually making money on the make £10 a day thread, so have been listing on ebay today, and ive had lots of support from the members over there, i told them what had happened.

    Its a lesson Learned :o

Thanks for your Thoughts and kind words, Sorry i let everyone down x

  • I'm a compulsive gambler...... spending on rouletter machines in bookies, or online.

I have done this for donkeys, and always loose. I have tried to quite loads of times and never succesfully. If I have money I gamble.

Just been out at dinner time and lost £500 so no pennyless. Normally go get a pay day loan... which normally ends up in the bookies to.

my mrs is at the end of her teather and so am I need help and need it quickly. I know I should go to meetings but cant face it.

anyone got any hints/tips to help.

if you really really really want to stop then you will go to a meeting. thats the best tip i can give you. You say you cant face it, can you face a life of misery, losing your friends, partner, family, home?

you dont need help because your mrs is at the end of her tether, you need help because your life is a mess because of gambling. we can support you here but we cannot stop you gambling.

if you really really want to stop you will give ALL control of money to your wife. If you really really want to stop you will tell her EVERYTHING.
If you cant do this, then you dont want to stop

sorry to be so blunt but its the truth. i hope you choose the right path. x

Yeah thats ture... started reading these threads again... and saw one and thought wow thats the same as I feel...... How gutted was i to see it was me posting back in 2008 about how i messed up and need to stop gambling.

what a loser. ... what happends is I stop... normally cos I have no money then get paid head straight to the bookies, then broke again and the cycle starts again.

I'm going to come on this thread every day and keep it on here. I do want to stop but so scared that if i go to a meeting someone will know me... shallow i know

    Well here goes. DAY 1

Do you think they would not be pleased you were there if they knew you?? No doubt most of your "friends" and family know you are gambler anyway. Gamblers Anonymous is called Anonymous for a reason. Even if there were people there you knew they wouldnt tell anyone anyway.
It's quite common for people to know each other as they stood next to each other slowly killing themselves in the bookies.

I dont think you want to stop. I've given you advice, which you asked for, and you are not willing to do any of it. There's no shame in that, we are all different. But i can GUARANTEE if you do not put a block on your pc, or hand over your finances, you WILL gamble.

Start tomorrow as your day one as you said above you wasted £500 today.. Good luck x
