Well now even Hometrack are saying that prices won't rise again until 2008.
Fine by me. If I remain a tightarse, that means, in three years' time I might be able to afford a portacabin in Peckham outright. Complete with bullet holes.
Funny, given that, only six months' ago, Hometrack were saying house prices would continue rising "inexorably".
Provided int rates stay exactly where they are between now and then, they might be right.
But if they go up again at any point, then it's downhill all the way, if you ask me (which no one did, of course...)0

Kevin Pietersen, greatest living englishman!!! :j
Freddy better than Botham & Lamb combined and a Lancastrian to boot!! :T
Micheal Vaughan, greatest English captain since Jardine - and also a Lanc!! 0 0

Yes, but it was extremely east Lancs who realised MV was quite good at it.....0

No, no, MAH Yorkies have always been more "careful" w'it brass than Lancies [me excepted, of course] thats why all the BS's are yorkies, Halifax, B&B, Skipton etc.
Loved the website, obviously a Lanc taking the p*ss - Bradford a Premier League Club!! :rotfl:
Compared to Lancashire's 7 PL clubs :footie: how many have the white rose sporting empire got? Shouldn't really say that, after all Leeds United have been a wonderful Feeder Club over the years!! _pale_
Anyhow, lets not air us differences in front of soft southern jessies. Many wonderful things in Yorkshire like Fish n Chips in Brid, aquarium at Hull - oops, thems in Umberside!! Well loads a good things come out of Yorkshire - Parkie, Geoff Boycott, but mainly the M62 westbound.... :beer:0

Freddy's good but he ain't Ian Botham !!
Michael Vaughan okay but he ain't Mike Brearley !
Kevin Petersen he's ok but is he english ???
Thought England did well but Ponting let them off the hook, electing to bat at Edgbaston, with a dodgy seam attack, and the best last innings bowler the game has ever seen, was the biggest mistake I have ever seen a cricket captain make.0

Maybe we need a sporting section???0

Would be more interesting than the housing section....pmat wrote:Maybe we need a sporting section???
Ian, can't get wound up about footie - Leeds and Bradford are (still) top teams in 'the game for louts' (allegedly..) although Saints sneaked a few dozen lucky tries this year to get to the top.
Just been listening to a bit on the radio - apparently cricket is being let down by these northern oiks and colonials getting 'Flintoffed' AFTER the last match..!!
Anyway, off on me hols in a couple of hours - got the knotted hankie, black pudding and whippet packed, just enough room in the case for a few dozen cans of Tetley's... see you all next week.0

I feel that the housing market is definately in for a major decline over the next two years, by at least 20%. Energy prices around the world are on the increase and England has enjoyed low inflation and low interest rates for several years, and I feel that those days are coming to a close as nations feel the pinch of higher energy costs. I believe more and more people in the UK are going to lose their homes as interest rates climb to offset the inflation that results from higher energy prices making life more expensive for many families.0
