Has anyone done any military base visits for cafe/bar and shops. I have booked 8 in one base with GAP and wondering if this is too ambitious.

    Any feedback appreciated

Must be a big base! I have done a local base that has one store and had to ring the store manager to arrange access so needless to say the shop was perfect!

Wish I could do 8 as the spends are good and jobs pretty easy. My tip is to make sure you put the bags in the boot after each shop and take your normal shopping list as first time I did them I bought all manner of things I did not need.

    Good luck!

Yes it seems to be a big base and I am gonna end up with quite a few baguettes:rolleyes: .

I thought the contact person was not related to the store or cafe? Did you make contact prior to visiting to the store manager?

I was told to make contact with the store manager as was inside the wire and I had to give 24 hours notice so I could get on the base. It said general store manager and provided me with the number. Oops, done the job twice so hope I have not messed up!

Ive never done ms before. I have an assignment in a few days at vision express. Im already a customer there and they said i can change my name. Is this ok to do?

There seems alot to remember, like names etc. Does anyone have any tips?

    Thanks

    Hi
I did one of those yesterday. Not too bad but the report is quite long and a big outlay. I used the voice recorder on my phone just in case I missed anything and sat there talking to myself when I could.

If you are married use your maiden name. If not, you could try mothers maiden name. They did ask me for my middle name too which threw me a bit! Keep the same date of birth as changing too many details about yourself can be confusing. Write some notes on palm of your hand. If its same visit you need to use the address that have given you.

Good luck and if you get stuck let me know and I will help if I can.

They are mini supermarket and cafe type visits from Gap but some are on or around Army and Navy bases. Nice jobs!

Has anyone doe a crystal shop for ISC. I have be given one for this weekend but on looking at the questionaire it looks rather foreboding and I don' think I will remember everything said to me during the cinsultation. Obviously can't take notes. Any suggestions?

Pammy, if you have a phone that records that's a great idea of Yeosal's. Wish I had technology like that.

The best I can come up with is a little mini notebook in my handbag where I note down all the questions on the report, glance at it before I go in, and then jot down the answers as soon as I leave the shop.

Can anyone advise me on this please?

I've been offered a furniture shop visit - told it was the same as the one I did last week but different branch. On looking at the notes, it's really two visits as this shop has a clothing section as well. I have to do two separate reports. Is it reasonable to ask for an increase in fee or would that be pushing it? I've only done one job for this company so far (ISC)

Not had one of them but would like one :p

Try having your mobile on record (not sure how long you can do this tho!)
I might invest in a little recorder as it will make life so much easier ;)
