Has anyone done the phone shops for TNS? I've got 3 on Wed and am really regretting taking them as I think that there's a lot to remember, just wondered if anyone had done one and what they thought about it? :)

This is probably something for Hollypear, Timne or Becles but if anyone has done an open audit for RE for a phone shop, can you please PM me as I am a wee bit stuck!! I will of course speak to the relevant person from RE eventually but want a shopper's perspective if this is possible?

    Have PM'd you FE.

  • Are they the ones you had to be a fun loving, live life to the max cool dude ;)
I cancelled mine as I do not look like of of them people and did not feel comfortable pretending to lead a totally different life LOL ;)
Other than that I thought they looked OK unless they didn't tell you about enough phones and then it would be hard work!

  • Yeah, I think that should have been put in the notes prior to taking the job on! Thats one major downside to TNS I think, that you don't get to see the assignment before you accept it!

I had a really nice reply from RE after I emailled them about the points situation. The lady there was sympathetic to the points I raised and said that she would raise them at the next development meeting. She also reminded me that surveys earn 2 points, so can eventually prop up your average. She also was sympathetic to the idea of taking an average over 3 or 6 months, and reconsideration of whether changing the date should result in loss of points- I don't think it makes a great deal of difference to them really if its changed once so long as it is in the time period.
It is a condition the client has made that only their 'best' shoppers will get these jobs, and becasue they have a points system that is what is used.

Just by way of nit picking: I understood that with RE, you aren't docked point if you swap dates, you simply don't get the two bonus points up for grabs for completing on the original date...

Has anyone done the grape beverage shop for RE? I gave them a brilliant report, but have now just tasted the recommended bottle, and it is going down the sink it is so bad! Surely this should feature in the feedback, as although I was impressed with his spiel I would never go back having sampled the wine. It wasn't just me either...

Oddly, many companies aren't interested to know if you enjoyed their product -- they just want to know if it was sold to you in an effective manner...
