Jobbingmusician, I'm not sure what you mean when you say you have edited my post to remove a link - I didn't put any links in my post. I would know if I had because I am decidedly non-techie and putting a link in is a major big deal to me, so I would definitely remember all the hassle if I had included a link.

To be on the safe side, however, I will go back and edit out any reference to the MS company but I wouldn't have thought that was a problem as everyone mentions MS company names.

Sorry, this is me using confusing language.

My post wasn't criticising you in any way. What I removed from your post was the name of the MS company, so that people wouldn't be able to make the connection (which I called a link ) between the name of the shop which I made a bit obvious, and the company who commissions the work for them. Your original post was fine, but if I'd left it as it was, anyone browsing the thread casually would have been able to see the name of the store and the name of the company in the same sentence, so I was apologising to you for editing your original post. :beer:

Aah, I see. Sorry!

Mind you, just 'anyone' browsing wouldn't make the connection - I didn't! I take your point that most 'normal' people would see the connection, but even when someone gave that blatant clue I didn't get it - it wasn't blatant to me at all because we don't have any of those stores up north so it never even entered my head, I was thinking of a completely different shop! :rotfl:

I have just posted jobs on the alert thread for GFK and wanted to warn anyone taking the phone jobs that in the briefing notes it states that by taking on these assignments that you are giving GFK permission to pass on your details to the company you are MS.

The reason they give is that the phone company wants to make sure that none of their own employees are undertaking the assignments :rolleyes:

Personally, I won't be doing any of these assignments as I don't won't my name & address given out to companies I'm assessing.

What if you gave them a stinking report, would they turn up at your door and throw mobiles through your window :rotfl:


Just wanted you to be aware before any of you undertake these assignments;)

This is probably something for Hollypear, Timne or Becles but if anyone has done an open audit for RE for a phone shop, can you please PM me as I am a wee bit stuck!! I will of course speak to the relevant person from RE eventually but want a shopper's perspective if this is possible?
