Am still having trouble with Gap. I did complain and no response whatsoever.

They have now queried a phone shop because could not get staff members name. It was impossible to do so, no name badge, no name on card, no recommendations pad filled out and when asked directly for his name said he did not normally work in the store!

Have told them this and they have failed to respond.

From being phoned almost daily by them now being treated with total contempt.

    Regards Paul
  • Finally finished my RE gym job today - I've lost half a kilo in the process.:j:j:j must be all the star jumps. LOL

Anyhoo - am a bit annoyed with RE as there's 5 jobs on there still waiting to be processed by proofreading and it means I can't pick any more up.

Still I shouldn't complain, I've got a phone shop and a sandwich shop tomorrow. At least that saves me from having to buy any lunch.:T:T:T

Sinders - you'd better not get that job or we're going to see less of you!

Mmm, not necessarily! I am naughty just like cookinmummy and squeezed in a job while I was in the city centre! I'd arranged to meet my Mum at Debenhams after the interview but managed to do the mobie shop job on the way! She barely noticed. Then later a company who I've not done much for phoned and offered me 2 jobs in that very city so I was cross that I hadn't been called yesterday cos I could have fitted those in too!

The job is part time, so if anything it gives me more access to a big city with lots of jobs ....ooh I feel all of a quiver! (yes I got it by the way, no HP it's not Asda but a bit like your previous work in the NHS)

I was asked to if I wanted to dance once in the Gap bookies shop, by a swaying drunk. Some of these places can be rather intimidating, whereas some are really nice and you can't always tell by the area, either. I think that's one of the reasons the pre-qualifying questions ask if you feel comfortable in a bookies environment.

In some of the ones you've done the toilets are locked and you have to ask for a key - even more obvious you're the mystery shopper! (bit like the petrol station, but even more so!) If they haven't sussed you already asking about betting by phone or internet etc!

Well done on the new job sinderella :T

ellie - just be careful with Gap bookies they usually like you to bet on something "with a single outcome" - like Middlesbrough to win (my team, in case you didn't guess!), so don't think they like accumulators or more complicated ones...

congrats on the job! I too am mastering the art of meeting friends where there are MS to be done! lol. best ones are when I meet them, hand them the buggy and ask them to push the buggy round the shops for a bit so I can do banks and phone shops etc. and I love it when my job job needs me to visit people in different towns as I squeeze even more in then too! well.... everyone needs a sandwich or a coffee on route dont they?!

Roxy - you poor thing, they were probably eyeing you up for other reasons.
I found focus groups really good, not to mention good pay, must get back into doing them. I have just booked 4 MS for on day after gaining confidence from yesterdays 3.

Thanks :) My DH said the same thing and said I probably made their day! Good luck for the 4 jobs.......I was surprised my 2 were 'ok' toilet and stares notwithstanding! Plus I had a quick phone job after too.

You're so lucky ellie9ellie just having 1 or 2 people in there. That wouldn't have been anywhere near as bad!

I hope my next one is one of the nicer ones ;) I don't intimidate easily that's for sure, but was quite surprised that it was still the old fashioned male environment in there. Times have not changed in that shop!

Forgot to say Congrats sinderella :)

Had fun and games with Aba-i as I couldn't input today's date as my shop date and had to put tomorrows. I gave them a call and was told it doesn't really work with macs ;(

Everything else was ok, just the date issue. Anyone else using a mac with that particular problem?
